After our final closure talk (she broke the news that she's been seeing somebody else) I told her "all I ever wanted was for you to be happy, and if being with somebody else is what it takes, I support that". I let her go, and I let her go in a way she wasn't expecting. I do want her back, but, I cannot force her to choose me. Being away from her since we broke up really changed me and I have significantly matured emotionally since our break up. Letting her go the way I did, in my mind, she will see that and think. But, at the end of the day, I'm not going to hold on to hope and instead, I plan to go on with my life and continue to improve myself.

I feel like the ex should be the one to try and schedule a meet up first, even if a good repport has been established. They were the ones that took the leap of breaking up with you, now they need to fight to get you back. Make them feel like they have to earn you back

Thanks Clay. One of your best videos. I don’t think my ex will be open to talking. He was an extremely wealthy man who kept himself from getting close to me and finally broke up with me. I was apparently a threat to his wealthy estate (so he thought). :’( Nevertheless, this is really good to know in future circumstances with someone who puts up barriers or is upset.

Love the video. But what if I broke through an unvoiced boundary. How can I validate their experience without saying "I totslly see why and how that hurt you... but you didn't tell me about the boundary?" Because I totally understand that I hurt her and that's the last thing I would have ever done. I thought we talked about boundaries in a way that made it seem like what I did wouldn't have hurt them. And I feel soooo bad I hurt them and I wish I had a time machine and undo it all as she meant the world to me.

This is so very practical. I’m currently in NC but I feel it’s needed at the moment. Going on almost a month and a half though. We were supposed to be on a break but he has walled me out as you say Clay. I know he was hurt by my lack of action on something. I’ve asked for patience before the breakup but I think he lost trust. I just wish I knew the right way to reach out to him. I think he’d respond if I give him time.

So my ex blocked me everywhere, and after running into her at a music event, she said hi but wasn't trying to talk. I did manage to get some words out of her, and she said I like to argue and we're too different (yet we had a great relationship overall for over 1.5 years). I've been in NC for 11 days now. Mine is with rebound for 4 mos. I’ve changed and nc and talked briefly to her but still no genuine outreach except for one brief phone exchange . You wait for the finality or no response at all. After awhile you can act like your interested but then it seems like you don’t really care after all the avoidance.

50+days, 1 year , 2 years, if u want her back dont hit her up, the way to get her back is to improve your life in health, wealth , and go out do more fun things and meet new people or more woman, this will get your ex start missing you, girls like it when guys need them and are depressed or miserable without them but that doesn't me she'll take you back, but if you show her that you are happy without her and that u don't need her she'll be missing you and want to come back, 50+ days is not enough, and you barely dated this girl just a month I wouldn't really consider that a real relationship

left him alone for a year... in a long distance relationship breakup. went into no contact after he had the last say. I did not do anything and agreed. I only broke no contact once this New Years and he only replied in kindness, wishing me all the best. what do I do at this point since it has been 2 months after breaking no contact. When he is ready to admit that he had a drinking problem and he is willing to go through a counsellor. He needs to stop going under his mother's skirt and he shouldn't tell his mum our private life. It's not fair when I don't get my family involved with our problems. Were adults and it should be approach with tact and respect.

Good idea. I did the same, it's also great to take a break from social media to start focusing on improving the areas that made you unattractive to your ex or pushed them away. Not necessarily improve for your ex, but for yourself. If ya do that they will possibly take notice as a by-product of improving yourself for your own good.

Yes , now start a exercise program! Force yourself, even if it’s just walking on a treadmill , I used my old school routine It’s the one thing that makes me feel a little stronger, the only thing that clears my head from thinking about my ex , she always comes back in my mind but I get a break , do it you will see

That's totally fine. Most people experience positive pull back after having a positive interaction. allow your ex to process what they think and feel. You can always reach out to check whenever you feel comfortable. :-)

My ex is shocked that I was able to change so much in such little time (not really.. it's been ten months). In other words, my ex didn't believe I could change.
