Eddie in kayfabe is a guy so bitter he's able to cut serious impromptu promos on cookies, a bag of Sour Patch Kids, and the concept of Halloween (and somehow make them believable). Eddie's had a lot of problems with depression and alcoholism and such throughout his life. He laid that all pretty bare in an article he wrote a while back. It wouldn't surprise me if, during these times, he was probably a combination of hard to deal with, and also swept aside by people who he looked up to, and could have helped, but didn't. And those things aren't always purposeful, because when you are going through shit like Eddie was, it can be really difficult for people to get close, and easily take things the wrong way. Eddie probably has some resentment from that, because these are people that could have really helped him, but instead likely swept him aside, and just added to his mental state. Doesn't mean Punk, Bryan, or whoever are jerks. They probably just couldn't deal. It happens. It also doesn't mean Eddie is a bad guy or anything. Personally, I also think he's awesome. Mental health is a whole thing.
