Max Moon (the Komet Kid) was billed as being from "The Future". So we should be seeing him make his debut any time now. Although, if he was really from the future, he should have known that the gimmick didn't get over. Great scott.

Max Moon was actually originally Konan's idea, he pitched it as a cyborg from the future. When Vince changed it to the spaceman Konan left.

Bret could have worked, though still not well as Hogan. But Sting would have flopped in that role BIG TIME! A few years after they did have Sting turned heel and Sting was literally clueless. Despite the fact that he’s wrestled only with the top heels WCW always had, including the likes of Ric Flair, Vader and the NWO, Sting had ZERO idea how to play heel. And again, that was after the formation of NWO. Nothing Sting would do in the ring was really heel. I honestly think he would have killed the NWO if he was the third man, rather than Hogan.

JJ Abeyta It wasn’t that Sting couldn’t play a heel or didn’t know how to do it, it was the fact that the fans wouldn’t allow Sting to be heel. He was so loved, no matter what he did, people cheered because they didn’t want to see Sting as a bad guy.

Tim Kitchens. Yes that’s true that fans didn’t want to boo Sting. But Sting was also legit clueless how to play a heel. He still wrestled the exact same way, never did any heel spots or played to the crowd as a heel. Sting just doesn’t know how to play heel, he’s one of the most white meat baby faces ever in wrestling.

I loved hulk Hogan as a heel, it was very refreshing! And I grew up watching him as the good guy in WWF so as a teen seeing him as a bad guy really felt good.

Konnan has said that he came up with Max Moon, and has even shown sketches of what he wanted his costume to be, though it was further developed in combination with Vince.

Yeah, he said he got the idea from a toy he saw in Japan that spit sparks and that he eventually decided he didn't want to do the gimmick because he had to cart around the heavy outfit while traveling from show to show.

I HIGHLY doubt he would have reached the level of success of Triple H under that nickname. That’s not a knock on Owen, but he still had heat for damn near ending Stone Cold Steve Austin’s career and him being Bret’s brother also wasn’t exactly doing him any favors. I honestly don’t think much would have changed other than a new cool nickname.”, but becoming a multiple world champion like Triple H? Nah, I seriously doubt that was ever in the cards for Owen.

JJ Abeyta rumor has it was Owen after doing the blue blazer was going to turn heel and be the biggest heel in the company and win the Wwe title in like 99 or some shit like that. Unfortunately Owen passed and Trips got the gimmick.

the hall of pain was broadus clay's idea. he wanted to debut as an absolute wrecking machine. instead they made him the funkasarus. mark henry ended up using the hall f pain gimmick.

With regard to Hogan turning heel and joining the NWO,there are two different stories: In Hogan's version of it,he wanted to turn heel,Bischoff and Turner were against it,so he had to sell them on it. In Bischoff's version,he proposed the turn during a visit to Hogan's house in Florida,Hogan politely kicked Bischoff out of his house,but Hogan warmed up to the idea.

RVD’s actual gimmick fits him so perfectly well it’s ridiculous, he looks kinda like the guy he’s flexible, can kick extremely well, had the hair and had great stamina and charisma just like Jean-Claude Van Dam 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♂️💯💯

The Owen Heart being the game is a myth. The name The Game came from a promo Triple H shot in which he tried to come up with something off the top of his head.

Blood Runs Cold might have actually worked better with RVD as Glacier. If there's anyone who had the charisma to get that gimmick over, it's him. Nobody knew who Glacier was, so he didn't connect with the crowd the way Rob could.

I thought Max Moon without that robot shell was good, thanks to Paul Diamond's awesome kicks. Diamond was of course under a mask as Kato in the Orient Express before that(replacing Sato). I wonder if anyone recognized Barry Darsow as Smash for his previous, NWA character, Krusher Kruschev.

Just another of the 1,000,000 reason why folks hate the post "Paul f&$king Stephen" just the wrestler HHH, why would you accept a gimmick that was meant for someone who basically lost his life in the ring who was your peer and in your era, HHH was already popular, known & had major success in the ring.

The 93 Ringmaster gimmick wasn’t the same one as the 95 one. The 93 one was going to be a circus ringmaster. Using the name “Ringmaster” isn’t the same as using the same gimmick.
