No response is a response

Whenever someone does this, I simply delete his or her phone number. I do not tollerate the lack of respect. After deleting their phone number, they suddenly wake up and write to me and then I ignore them. Life goes on. I've got no time for these stupid games

When he ignores the text... let them know how you feel and move on. Makes no sense to repress your feelings and make no sense to continue waiting. You deserve respect!

I think it’s a form of control. In my case, he texted me first. Whenever I responded I was left on read. He typically have great communication, at least he did in the past. Now he thinks I’m not as invested as I was. Sometimes it’s a tactic to gauge how you feel. He thought I was going to get mad and react. I didn’t. That made him even more confused. So…..people just stop playing games. This isn’t high school. Men are constantly losing good women b/c of this.

Ladies, there is nothing wrong with asking someone what is going on when you are treated this way. It’s not needy or self deprecating. It’s what adults do. Communicate. But really he’s being passive aggressive if he was pursuing you and is now doing this. He either wants you to go away or worse, he is trying to manipulate you and using tactics to get you hooked. Either way you should run.

Thanks for this video! I just leave the door open and send him a text once in a while wishing him well and letting him know I'm thinking about him. No self-pity, no worrying about what I did wrong because I can't know unless he tells me, nothing like that. He's explained how busy he is and I've accepted that he's not willing to make time for me for whatever reason. Nothing I can do or say to fix that and that's okay.

Nice post but , ignoring back doesn’t necessarily mean that one wants to get rid of him , if we feel hurt or upset I feel it’s best to get into a space of calmness and peace before responding and moving forward

I already made these mistakes 😢😂 i mean, my reaction was justified in my situation. Let me explain: he flaked me twice successively without giving me any reasons, i had only "i will call you, i have problems". I waited for few days and he came back. But that situation had already happened to me once and he knows i do not appreciate this behavior. When he came back to me, i naturally asked if his problem was fixed and what it was. He responded to the first question, but not to the second one. I then sent him a kinda reminder which he did not respond to. I said "every time i am writing i have no response. Should i stop writing?" = no response. I was very frustrated that i ended up saying "sorry, i think i am brothering you. I got it". First, it was not respectful not to respond, second, i had no justification for him flaking me the other time / not even a sorry, third he comes back with no justification. My patience has limits as well.

What would you say it means if someone ignores you on one platform but not on any others? I have a new friend who used to read my Instagram msgs and reply but has stopped even reading them. She still interacts with me on facebook, still sends me text msgs…she will post a story on Instagram (where’s she’s ignored a few different msgs from me, sent on different days) and then she will go over to Facebook and comment on one of my posts or send me a text. It seems like a game of some kind but I don’t see why it’s happening. I know for sure she knows I’ve sent her a few messages and she is not reading them on purpose.

It’s not a dating thing tho. I have a friend who just out of the blue just ignored me.

I always make an effort to call everyone back, but sometimes there's the type that want you to drive to them, never the other way around. And they want you to keep them company doing something you don't particularly want to do. If I'm super busy and I don't want to have to make a person like that feel bad by saying no, I just ignore their call or call them back in a few days.

Then he slowing stops dropping hints, likes one of your posts, posts a song, and then finally posts something on one of his outdated profiles (the only one you're on) hinting about some health issues he having. So, you finally take the bait and message. Both of you message back and forth for 3 days. Just once a day each, in depth about real life current issue, length of text increasing in length progressively, by each of us. All going well, then after the 3 days, he stops for 2 days. I know not to do anything more until he does. But, I just dont understand what's going on.

Please, may I ask some things? 1) Is it normal to text someone, and them replying to you 1 month later, or even 3-4 months later ? 2) Does family play a role here? For instance, if you are single, but they have a big family to care, is it still normal for them to take 3 months to answer you back? 3) Is it normal that you are texting them to inform them that you had a recent loss (pet loss, but that's not umimportant, right?) and them not replying at all for 1 month or more ? 4) Is it normal that you inform someone (in physical presence) that your animal is actually dying, and them replying "Ok", then start the car engine on, and leave you on the cold, without asking if you need any help with the dying animal?
