It still looks cheesy and undeserving. It's so weird that Naruto at Boruto's age was able to summon the big toad and beat a tailed beast 1v1 and Boruto had to cheat to beat gara's son who was nothing compared to him in power. That's because during Naruto's chunin exams, all the nations were still at each other throats. The exams was like a temporary cease fire until the sand village broke that agreement. If genins died during a match, that was too bad. In Boruto's timeline, the nations are united and there mostly at peace so a lot of the old ways were done away with which probably had the unfortunate effect of breeding less stellar ninjas.

But Boruto DOESNT do that. I dont feel invested in any of the characters at all. Its not a slow pace if nothing is happening thats just pointless. If they used this slow pace to build up an intriguing story or forge bonds between characters it would be fine. But they arent doing that their just wasting time and making boring arcs without an effect on the world.

yea cause boruto got reward for defeating a god totally ignoring naruto and sasuke did the entire work. It´s like they didn´t find a way to make him op and used the worst way to power up a protagonist i´ve ever seen

JK Network Can't you tell?? Momoshiki is obviously one dimensional villain due to the time constraint of the Movie. Now the Anime have expanded the lore of the Ootsutski clan and we learned that Momoshiki/Kinshiki must abide the law of the Main Family to gather the chakra fruit for whatever the reason it may be, The director of the Boruto anime stated that he wanted to make Momoshiki more depth as a villain and have backstory.

I NEVA FREEZE Great username by the way. :) But yeah; Boruto fans, most of the fanatics, are absolutely insane. I hate to sound presumptuous, but I honestly believe some of these people are delusional. It is fine to like the series, but it is hard to deny that the show in terms of popularity is not doing that well. Especially, when you compare it to My Hero Academia. A slightly overlionized(speaking as a hardcore fan), but amazing series that honestly captures what made Naruto great, while doing its own thing. Boruto is just directionless and coasting off its own name. I will give it credit for creativity, compared to DragonBall Super, but even then; Boruto I find is lackluster. Even though, I do not mind the manga.

Because the anime started too soon, thus it had to start it plot setting it even earlier than the manga, in order to let it go on. EASY LOGIC And said plot is getting more and more interesting, hence the manga readers who are telling to be patient.

the difference between naruto and boruto IMO is that naruto at first was busy to develop the world building as we call it the ninjaverse, something that's already known in boruto so there's no reason for it. boruto on the other hand is trying to have a slow and colorful start, developing plot and establishing certain characters for the future which according to the people who work on it will be much darker than naruto's

Well, technically those are 2 sepreds arcs, but there isn't any particular point in story separating those 2 arcs so...

To be honest I only really liked the Yorknew arc. I really like HxH but I have huge issues with the story progresion and the individual arcs of HxH.

Bucket Head yeah I don't really know why. I love the characters and the Nen-ability system. The music is great and it looks great. Actually I also think most individual arcs are actually good too, but in the context of the series it just doesn't make sense to me. The first Zoldyck arc (what's it called? The one they try to 'save' Killua) just seems like a waste of time. The Hunter exam finale is cut short ... which is really disappointing I think ^^. The Heavens Arena is great but it's only a traning arc, really. Yorknew is amazing. After that Leorio and Kurapika are completely gone from the series. That game arc thing was okay I think. And the Chimera Ant arc ... I don't know. Individually it's great. But in the context of the rest of the series it just came out of nowhere with a completely new set of characters, plot and everything.

JK Network I like HunterXHunter way more than Naruto but the Chunin Exam was so much better than the Hunters exam.

LionLink Nightcore Gaara I argue is what made the Chunin Exam really well done. By that point in the series, we only had Naruto as a frame of reference about how badly Jinchurriki were treated. But Gaara clearly was the anti-Naruto; a what if if Naruto allowed the hatred and despair to consume him. And thus become what his respect village treated him as: a monster. And Naruto ultimately overcoming his fear of Gaara and managing to understand him; that to me is priceless. And I argue is one of the biggest turning points in the entire series. Boruto was never going to reach those heights because simply put, Boruto is too strong. There is nobody pushing him. It is only his ego pushing him forward.

Acoleyte That would make the entirety of Naruto's journey pointless. BAD idea. This is the reason why so many people were against the idea of the sequel. For the sequel to have stakes, the ninja world peace needs to fall apart however that itself defeats the whole final arc of Naruto and make his journey a big waste of time. I'd rather we got an anime focused on the warring era (Hashirama and Madara era) that would have been far more interesting

i agree to an extent. and i also think that's partly why (Besides financial) they dragged on the the they early slice of life parts of boruto and why it was so mundane and boring for the past year of it airing. I think they wanted to let the audience spend a lot of time in the peaceful shinobi world so that it can leave an impression so that when it gets ripped away we might actually feel something. But i agree with the common opinion that Naruto dieing would make no sense because him and not to mention the rest of his generation of shinobi are so powerful that they should be able to defeat any threat. i guess im just being a little over optimistic want this series to do well.

Acoleyte but they could show a peaceful world by reducing the scales of threat which would be ideal with boruto being genin no need to be so op. Show how the average ninja fight, show the different type mission a ninja can take. The show should have been more focused on world building.

ddy 73 the prophecy is already fulfilled to be honest don't kid yourself naruto served his purpose .... he has solved the conflict of the indra and ashura reincarnation ....he has saved the world from juubi and he has united the world the people not just shinobis... so I would say give boruto a chance...
