I have been on 5mg for 3 weeks and my 4th short is due tomorrow. This channel has been so helpful. I have decided to start doing my shots every 8-9 days and asked my doctor to keep me on 5mg for another 4 weeks. I will be staying on as long as I can. I have also been rotating my injections sites! I started Zepbound Jan 13 @ 171 lbs. I am still on 2.5 & am now about 148. I just got upped to 5mg . My normal weight was 135-140 for years( I'm 62 now & was pretty active) but a new job, newly married, not as active(stupid Covid) bad eating habits caused the weight gain. I'm feeling much better now, wanting to get back to my old self. You are SO helpful!! ❤

Great things to give serious thought to! I'm currently on MJ 10 and will be taking my 7th shot on Tuesday. I have to say that I am really not hungry at all throughout the entire week, so I'm definitely going to do another 3 months after this round (6 more shots to go, including Tuesday).

This video came at the right time...I have been battling going up a dose due to increased food chatter and less symptoms. Just finished my cycle and ive noticed more chatter during this time and less restraint😢. Going to continue to rotate, increase protein consumption and keep up my water/electrolytes.

Oh wow. I had not heard anything about the zepbound savings card issue... based on your mention of it, I looked into it, (and happened to get a text on Friday about a new card) I called my pharmacy and just got word that it'll be bringing the cost down to something that is much more manageable! Told my Pharmacy to fill it, and I'll be taking it for the first time later this week.

Due to the shortage I had to back down to 5.0 from the 7.5. I am looking at it as a blessing. Does it give me as much appetite suppression-not really. Does it stop the food noise like it did with 7.5-nopes. BUT it does give me a chance to practice making the next best choice when I’m stressed or the food noise is singing to me. I think the shortage gave me a second chance to do all the tips before titrating up again. Thanks Elisabeth for all your tips!! And your makeup is on point! ❤

I'm down 50 lbs in 7 weeks. This is gonna be my second shot of 5 milligrams tomorrow, but it doesn't feel any stronger than the 2 .5. Maybe I should switch my injection spots. I'm terrified of doing it in my thigh because I work out a lot. But maybe that's the issue here.... I think I'm losing weight so fast because I used to eat like 4000 calories. Now I can barely eat from 1200 to 1300 calories a day.

But you must admit that increase in water consumption to an acceptable amount, when your initial water intake has been too low, this will increase the amount of weight loss in initial three weeks.

Been on Mounjaro for 90 days and down 30lbs. For the first 75days I had lots of side effects from constipation, diarrhea, and unbelievable belching. Stomach injection seem to be the most effective for appetite, back of arm diarrhea and thigh the least effects but had more hungery.We figured out the sulfar belches and what was causing it. My Cpap air flow was to high, after lsoing the weight I didn't need as much air, so we lowered it from11 to 8 and a lot of side effects went away.

I was on 5 mg on and off for close to a year. I tried 7.5 twice and my body wasn’t ready for it. I am back to 7.5. Hopefully 3rd time is the charm🤞

If side effects have been blocking the jump up, try starting the 7.5 on a 10-day shot cycle… 10 days between shots instead of 7 days, including 10 days from your last shot of 5 to your 1st shot of the 7.5mg. Without going into the math and medication half-life’s and all that, doing 7.5 on that schedule is more like being on 6.25mg…it gives you an ‘in between’ step on peak dose (since peak dose is partially meds from prior shots), where hopefully your body can adjust better. And then once it’s okay with the ‘6.25mg’, you can start tightening up the shot schedule towards the usual 7 days. I did something like this when I jumped from 2.5 to the 5 and was experiencing a moderate but persistent side effect that I really didn’t enjoy. It worked. Of course, do run it by your doctor… but it’s hard to see a big downside. Even on Day 10 (aka minimum ‘meds in your system’ level), the meds level on 7.5 is very similar to what it’’d be on Day 7 with 5mg. 🤔

@@cloakster I took my dose with protein Saturday late morning. It kicked in after a few hours. I tend to have constipation but it has been the opposite for the last day and a half with the new dose. I have appetite suppression and nausea. The thought of food isn’t on my radar but I have been drinking/sipping soup, Fairlife protein and electrolyte waterI. I have tried ginger lozenges, Nauzene and that hasn’t worked like it normally does for me. I have to contact doctor about Zofran. I have never needed it until now. I am grateful as the side effects could be a lot worse than what I am experiencing right now.

My Doctor told me it takes 6 to 8 weeks to reach the peak absorption in the body so I waited 9 weeks in it suddenly all came together great appetite suppression and minimal side effects on 5mg and I started to lose a lot. Just be patient
