Jesus why would you wanna weigh more than 100kg...
@Guezz8710 ай бұрын
@@senzatieeebecause you can't increase strenght without increasing weight. You can't weight 80kg and have 350kg deadlift
@senzatieee10 ай бұрын
@@Guezz87 Why would a random person that's not a powerlifter have to deadlift 350kg, it just seems like you're putting your health at risk for no reason, 100kg+ is way too much.
@thehightide255910 ай бұрын
it's unlikely that extra body fat will be detrimental, when you are very strong, because it trains your cardiovasc to a decent extent and strength itself is one of the best indicators of health in general. Makes it that much harder for diseases or anything to harm you And we know that older people who have good grip strength are also less likely to get sick

I'd say the number one thing is that he's deadlifting way too frequently. 430lbs for 5 reps is when I had to start deadlifting just once every 2 weeks instead of every single week. Very impressed he can hold that much weight with just his grip strength too.
@OMAR-vk9pi9 ай бұрын
Why tf would you deadlift so once every two weeks to deadlift more? I got stuck at 315 deadlifting one a week started doing it twice a week and now I’m at 495
@ciswhitemalewithextraprivi78989 ай бұрын
@@OMAR-vk9pi Because it takes longer to recover from as the weight gets higher. once you reach the point where it takes more than a week to recover from a heavy deadlift, you alternate heavy rack pulls and heavy deadlift every other week.

This guy has a 490lb squat (based on a set of 5 @ 395 RPE 7.5-8) after 3 months of training?
@Mukation10 ай бұрын
It's possible he's a fireman or construction worker. They tend to be strong as fuck from the get go, due to their work. Or he has been a lifter in the past and just now got back into it through SS. But it's impossible to tell if he's serious, nor can we judge his depth based on a phone call. Feeling like you hit depth and actually hitting depth are two different things.

and at least a 405 double overhand deadlift lmao
@rigfordthebarbarian289510 ай бұрын
I'm a stocky 5'9 and was squatting 405+ in 2 months at 20 years old at 230-240lbs. I am as wide as a barn door. My older brother is the exact same build as me but with slightly longer limbs and his sophomore year of high school was squatting 405 for sets of 5 at 220lbs. I went to school with a half Filipino and half Samoan kid who squatted 495lbs his first day, was benching 250 for sets of 10, etc at 6'1 250lbs.

He never said he was training for only 3 months!! He said he's been doing the linear program for 3 months!! No doubt he's been training a lot longer than this!!

He's 'been doing the novice linear progression for 3 months'. Doesn't mean he doesn't have previous experience training or working a manual labour job etc
