I just read an article about this. 😆 Captain Beefheart first interrupted the song that the female performer was singing. this Dutch show was known for insulting the performers and speaking through their performances.

This should be required viewing for any USA citizenship course. He tells us why we drink so much coffee as compared to tea. Tells about our 1st president's wooden teeth. Terrific stuff!

I'm sure this instrumentation is copied from a Deep Purple song with new lyrics. The guitar even has the same tone as Ritchie Blackmore.

I attended church, first in Boulder and then in Broomfield, CO, where Richie was pastor. I also had the opportunity to see Poco live in Kansas..... 1970 timeframe. I'm thankful for him and his impact on my faith in Christ.

All three albums were masterpieces especially the first album with Small Beginnings Flash,In the Can,and.Out of our Hands is just fantastic albums it is such a shame that the radio only played Small Begginning even though Small Beginnings is a great song they could of played other songs on the radio besides Small Begginings and Colin had such a unique singing voice l didn’t know Tony Kaye played in Flash l know he played in the early Yes albums and Peter Banks played on Yes second album Time in a Word Yes and Flash have a connection together their songs were always progressively long songs l remember years ago in the Mid Seventies when you had shows like The Midnight Special, Don Kirshner Rock Concert, and The King Biscuit Flower Hour all three awesome shows at seven o’clock in the early evening they had Flash on Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert l watch them perform Small Begginings it was awesome Peter Banks was so talented that truly was the good old days l do miss them

Do they sound like yes because Banks produced that “sound” or because the deliberately were trying to sound like Yes?

Someone once came up with the idiotic idea that every music show recorded in the studio should feature a ballet. This disease has spread all over the world. I can still understand a pop band singing and playing something upbeat and easy, but what the heck are these slick "obstructions" in rock, blues music???? Then what? In classical music too?

Howard WERTH voce chitarra acustica, Trevor Williams basso e seconda voce Tony CONNOR batteria e percussioni, Nick JUDD pianoforte e Bobby KEYS sax!!!!!!!!! Invece signori musicisti anch' ESSI!!!!!!!!! Che momenti di GRANDE MUSICA!!!!!!!!!! Quello che sta andando attualmente è M !!!!!!!!!!! Rap Trap hip hop, poppettino usa e getta!!!!!!! Rock plastificato Fake roba VOMITEVOLE!!!!!!!!!

And the album (Procol's Ninth) from which this song comes is my first purchase of this band. Despite the fact that the band did a long tour of Poland in 1976 (8 concerts, standing ovation at each), I was not familiar with this band, although I had heard "A Whiter" (I just didn't know it was Procol Harum). My first consciously listened PH song was Pandora's Box, and The Final Thrust was the fifth. I have a great fondness for this album and this period of the band. I met everyone in Redhill (1997), except BJ.

A tenement, a dirty street Walked and worn by shoe less feet Inside it's long and so complete Watched by shivering sun Old eyes in a small child's face Watching as the shadows race Trough walls and cracks and leave no trace And daylight's brightness shuns … The days of Pearly Spencer The race is almost run … Nose pressed hard on frosted glass Gazing as the swollen mass On concrete fields where grows no grass Stumbles blindly on Iron trees smother the air But withering they stand and stare Trough eyes that neither know nor care Where the grass is gone … The days of Pearly Spencer The race is almost run … Pearly where's your milk white skin? What that stubble on your chin? Buried in the rot gut gin You played and lost not won You played a house that can't be beat Now look your head's bowed in defeat You walked too far along the street Where only rats can run … The days of Pearly Spencer The race is almost run The days of Pearly Spencer The race is almost run
