Yes, our bodies are that stupid. When we're fasting, the body thinks we're starving. Breaking a fast with sugar is the absolute worst thing you can do, besides fasting.

Some people get low blood sugar if they don't eat regularly. I'm not one of them, 1-2 meals a day is good.

Even if you don't need insulin but it's in your bloodstream it doesn't come back. It gets your available sugar. I've been experimenting with insulin taken under skin and once I almost died. Not recommended.

Could you give me an idea for a meal plan to gain weight? I try to eat clean so it's extremely difficult to get enough calories, I end up eating a lot of butter and extra virgin olive oil, but still never reach my calorie goals (2k+)

Have you ever thought about maybe carnivore diet actually changes nothing to your body? I’m currently doing OMAD carnivore, but sometime I feel like a lot of autoimmune symptoms that carnivore people had is actually caused by anxiety, and when they start do carnivore diet, it created a placebo effect, their anxiety went away, so their symptoms went away too.

I tried to eat some carbohydrates, felt great, because sugar raises your dopamine levels temporarily, but I also felt tired, anxious. but how do I know if it’s because the food is bad for me, or is it because I have food sensitivity caused by my anxiety?

What do you think of Dr. Sean O’Mara? He recommends carnivore with ferments every time you eat meat. He focuses on getting rid of visceral fat.

I cycle thousands of miles a year. I've never really had to worry too much about gaining weight and this led me to eat too much salt, and high salt intake leads to persistent leg cramps if you're a very active person, (I'm pretty sure this is scientifically proven and a well accepted fact) and so roughly five years ago I drastically reduced my salt intake and literally haven't had a leg cramp in five years and I'm now 47 years old. I can confidently say for a fact that many people that often do intense cardio will certainly experience problems if your salt intake is too high. Low salt is literally life changing if you're one of the unfortunate people that experience random leg cramps after intense cardio.

Meat produces a lot of insulin also. I never understand how (not targeting you VP) people with knowledge in nutrition can constantly say carnivore lowers insulin. Yrs back I said to a doctor guru.....your a doctor right.....why dont you test this theory? We have the insulin index which shows beef is a high insulin secreting food and you still promote that insulin is lowered to basically nothing when you go carnivore. I also said why is it a true ketogenic diet forces protein super low? Anyway I am having a huge dilemma right now! My strength goes way up when I eat steaks galore BUT I notice I dont really feel well. My nose gets red like an alcoholic and veins on side of my head grow (ever notice the protein pushers all have bulging veins on their heads?). I drop to eating 80/20 ground beef and less eggs and up calories with butter and cream etc and my face is not red anymore and the veins disappear on side of my head BUT my workouts suffer. So my dilemma is....increase the meat and get stronger but look older OR lower the protein but starts suffering thru workouts. #tornAF

Been mostly animal-based keto for the last 4 weeks. Dealing with the keto rash for the last 1.5-2 weeks. This crap is terrible. The diarrhea is explosive. I'm thinking that I'd much rather be eating small amounts of carbs and perhaps even some fiber to rid these things. My goal is fat loss. I'm in no rush. I'd rather have slowed fat loss than be itchy, rashy, and squirting liquid out of my ass.

I would ask the cramper what form of magnesium are you consuming? Magnesium oxide, whilst cheap, is next to useless. Magnesium glycinate is my preferred form for eliminating leg cramps.

It happens automatically by eating only meat, without struggle. After a while be it weeks, months or years it just happens on its own that you get down to OMAD. Maybe not for everyone, but for me anyways. If its not enough I have some yogurt in the evening.

Insulin is used for alot more than just conttrolling your glucose levels. Thats why you feel like shit on carnivore. You need insuling to tell kidneys to hold on to minerals. If you are to low on insulin it doesnt mather how much elektolites you take, you will just piss them all out.
