You could have just used a longer inner spacer tube. Common trick from the aircooled Triumph from 2000 to 2015 using the longer spacers from the Thruxton/Scrambler on the Bonnevilles.

I had the same problem undoing the 8 mm bottom bolts. They are really tight, a nightmare.. I adapted length of angle iron and used it down the inside to stop the damper rod rotating. Worked OK but I know there is a special tool available. Trouble is it will not get enough use for me to bother.

Bought these after seeing them in your video, I'm not disappointed! Out of all the budget enginge guards they look the sleekest, not too wide or tall, don't block off the clutch case cover if it has to come off at the mechanics. I used the original thick washers on every part over the smaller ones, the bolts reach far enough into the nuts to make it work just fine (should they come loose I'll edit my comment).

It is nice then this pipe are "big bore" but end of pie which is connected with muffler is "small bore", diameter is reduced, this not make a sense....The laws of physics apply, a pipe has as much permeability as its narrowest point.....

Great video. I'm in the habit of using a little liquid gasket to help hold the RE tappet cover gasket in its groove. Let it set before refitting the cover. Much easier to align to the cylinder head fir a good fit. Well done! 😊

The most difficult part of the entire process is valve cover removal / and subsequent placement due to gasket catching every way it wants to catch. I wish this was sorted out. Actual valve adjustment is a breeze...and yes it is CCW.

I went on an Enfield forum just to have a look if anyone had talked about upgrading the brakes. It turned up a guy had posed a similar question. The first response was somebody telling him to learn to ride a bike properly. From there on it descended in to all kinds of stuff about bullfighting, animal welfare, and loads of other tosh. The original poster never got an answer. It was then I remembered why I’m not on Facebook or a member of any forums. People on the whole are awful.

Great video, thanks, as I'm just about to fit TEC big bore headers and canon silencers to my own Inter650. Also turning mine into a scrambler and have found a French company that makes high level front mudguard, smarter back end and a single seat . . . what make is the headlight grill please?

Hello, it's interesting about the " crush washers ". In the days of old Honda motorcycles 1963 and later. The crush washer was a circular piece of asbestos fiber wrapped with a fine utility wire to maintain the ring shape. I think that I would look for one of those before adding a second copper crush washer. Actually, I would try to mount the new exhaust manifold without the crush washer. Also, back in the days of old Honda motorcycles, we would loosely mount the entire muffler/ exhaust system, then starting with the exhaust manifold, tighten all the parts in the remaining order. I guess during all those years until 1977, we were doing it incorrectly. Well, luckily the exhaust manifolds and mufflers did not leak. " Hey! " Which is so often shouted in unison upon the streets of Kyoto, Japan. KZfaq video: 2017.3.26京都橘高校吹奏楽部京都さくらパレード交款コンサートパーカッション

Hello, my Honda CB - 160 had a of single sided upswept pipes from Webco In. On the end I had mounted two one-foot-long short reverse cone megaphones. These megaphones had a removable baffle. The baffle was recessed but had a lip to cove completely the hole in the megaphone. This baffle had roughly a dozen 1/4-inch holes spaced about and drilled into the baffle. Through the center of the baffle passed a 1/2-inch-long bolt about 5/16ths, that had a nut threaded onto it. soldered or brazed to this bolt was a loop of steel wire that was rigid and spring like tempered. This loop of steel was not circular but flattened like a very severe flat oval. This spring steel flattened oval loop (more like a racetrack than egg) was long enough to be inserted into the reverse cone of the megaphone. After inserting it the central bolt could be tightened and the tension would hold the baffle in place until it was decided it needed removal. This was an elegant solution to mount a removable baffle. The seven years that I had that Honda the baffle never fell out. " Hey! "

P'S. I never could ride the bike and stare at the baffles, but I always suspected that with hard charging throttle usage that this spring-loaded baffle would give a little bit and fractionally open the reverse cone just a little bit. Anyways, the bike could be driven quietly until the throttle was seriously opened.

You should wait about 10 mins before rev for letting the Ecu learn about new air exhausting amount, same as when you change air filter with an open one…

Good point to note is that there are multiple brands who OEM exactly the same chainsaw.. probably made in the same factory. The one I bought was the Eskde (orange body, same saw) and I'm very happy with it after the carb tuneup - mind the fact that your green Hawksmore came with an Oregon chain which are excellent chains. Mine came with a couple of soft metal no brand chains - that's going to make a significant difference. Parker brand also OEM this model, and their customer service, repairs and replacement and spare parts stocking is fantastic; I have their 62cc model which i'm very happy with and only went for the eskde because Parker were out of stock at the time and I wanted it for a job.
