Whenever I try a new dish, I watch six to eight YT videos to find the best recipe for that dish. I used this one as the basis for cooking short ribs for the first time. Winner!! They were absolutely fantastic! I think the only ingredient I left out was the tomatoes. Used beef stock. Immersion blender is a nice touch if you have one of those. Makes a smooth, velvety finish to the sauce.

I've never prepared pan seared chicken before today. This was the only video I watched, and it came out perfect. You explained the process so well that there was no need for me to watch any other video. Came out fully cooked and juicy, I think basting was the key. Great video!! 👍🏾

You can also use gelatin to thicken it. Then it won't break down like corn starch.

I've always wondered how it would come out if you just stuck the meat in a pot of plain water.

I boil cauli, drain, put 2 T butter in pot, add gated garlic & cook a min with pot tilted so garlic cooks in butter, add parm in green shaker add 2 T yogart or sour cream and beat with electric mixer, it whips up and delish

What happened to the peppers..?
@HomecookingWithChefWalter3 ай бұрын
The peppers are there to add just a touch of spice; they get absorbed into the mix when you blend everything. Of course, you could always add more if you prefer. Thanks so much for watching!

I tried this before. Instead of water, I boiled the cauliflower in low sodium vegetable stock. As fate would have it, I tripped over something and the cauliflower was all over the floor. It never even made it to the food processor. This looks way better than what I was trying to do.

Correction: it's not the root of a celery plant! Though it's related to celery, it is grown ONLY for the root.

It is amazing how much cauliflower comes from 1 head..but yet it makes very little mash..for 3 of us ..I need at least 2 large or 3 medium size heads

17:51: Thanks for sharing. Near the end of the video, it dawned on me that you braised the meat stovetop. Is there any particular reason you prefer that method versus cooking in the oven?
@HomecookingWithChefWalter10 ай бұрын
Hi Silk, thanks so much for watching! Actually, no particular reason; sometimes I do it in the oven as well, works great either way. Many times, it depends on how many other things I’m using the stovetop for!
