Humans are the most destructive species on the planet. That is why there is so much garbage everywhere and it makes me sad to see. People take this world for granted and only something really bad will make people change.

I have no idea how people can pollute our waterways like this. Unfortunately it's a world wide problem!

I love seeing what folks have done to clean up the Bronx River. Frustrating they have to, and have to keep doing it. But it's amazing that you can do this now. I don't think you could have done it a decade or two ago. I guess pulling scooters & bikes out is better than the whole cars and whatnot they were pulling out in the early days of restoration. Great video. What an amazing thing to have in the heart of the city. I'd like to make more use of similar bits of nature in the city where I live. We're making progress on cleaning up our waterways in the Washington DC region, too. But there's a lot of work to be done. They don't make those portages easy. Jeez.

Offset your paddle blades maybe 15 degrees (definitely not 90 ) and it will be more ergonomic for body.
@TwoFeetOutdoors5 сағат бұрын
Yeah, for some reason, I never offset them. Guess I'm just leisurely paddling so efficiency isn't a priority. I'm going to try it now that you mention it though. Thanks for watching.

As the deadly amoeba works its way underneath his toenails. Climb the fences, get out on a street, hail a cab and go home to treat that heart attack. Obviously, nobody kayak's that river anymore because of the sketchy places to get in and out. And that NYC doesn't give a rats ass if you get trapped in that fenced area and die. Kudo's to you and shame on New York.

Can't give them anything nice ... it gets trashed. I had a job once where I drove all through the city and while driving on the Cross Bronx Expressway I thought ... how can people live in this hole? For a lot of them they don't know any better because they were born there. Others came from far worse holes in other countries. You chose the right color kayak for paddling through that sewer.

Its good you are drawing attention to the forgotten river trails in the City. I did a video of of the Platte R. in Denver and am planning on more. These under-loved places really need more public use and awareness lest they deteriorate any more. And the Dam E-scooters! We have a similar problem in Colorado.
