I think some of the disconnect comes from the fact that western Christianity is very rationalist and organizes thinking into groupings and clear definitions. Orthodoxy doesn't organize the same way because we don't believe to know the fullness of some of these truths. Because of this, trying to organize orthodoxy into its various groupings of beliefs on various topics is difficult because a single grouping will never tell the whole story. For example, it is true that Christ destroyed death by death, but it is also true he took on the penalty of death for our sake, baring our punishment, so that as we die with Christ so too do we participate in His resurrection because he resurrected. His divine life giving energy allows all humanity to participate in the resurrection of God. I understand this video is from the perspective of reformed theology, so I do not blame this channel for trying to organize and explain direct differences with orthodoxy, I simply believe the format of a video such as this is flawed to begin with.

i'm not into religion but being from a catholic country i participated in the church until i got my first communion (8 or 9 years old). Nobody really thinks that the little thing you eat during comunion is anything more than a symbol. a ritual to emulate what jesus did on the last supper (supposedly). i never heard a priest say that the wine literally becomes blood and the wafer becomes the flesh of jesus after it is consacrated.
