I put down 10k and my payment is still almost $900. People wanna complain about my payment. But Yet I can afford it along with my mortgage and my wife car payment comfortably as well. 😂

You don’t need to change the Turbo inlet pipe unless you’re upgrading your turbo, it’s a waste of money, won’t make any extra power…. Some have said it even loses power. Just get the HVI intake. The rest of the mods, go for it. You should start with the Intercooler in your climate.

Definitely do the baseline dyno, good to see where you are and the progression from there with the mods. Picked up an FL5 last week and looking to do hondata and the intercooler first.

If youre doing this for the heat you should look into the coolant system rerouted hoses and a -10 degree thermostat.

The electronic processing fee is not bad it’s literally the fee they charge you for the person to hit print and type a few things into that sale bill. I was in Georgia I bought my STI brand new. Right now I’m selling my bro in law my 08 TL type s 6 speed and looking at either this car or a 2024 GT mustang. The dealership here I think wants 64k or something crazy which I won’t do. Hondata basemaps don't add too much power. You can go with an OTS tune like the one phearable offers. (type the name in google) Jestertuned also specializes on this platform. This guy does custom tuning for your car. He owns a FL5. (check in google, send me a message and I can call the guy for quicker service) Both are located in FL. Both have the option for custom tuning that is specific to your car needs. Only Phearable offers a generic OTS tune that works great on all FL5 that are stock or with minor mods.

Interesting tidbit about getting to know a vehicle by giving it a wash - never thought about it like that. You have a great friend letting you borrow that FL5 for the day, not that quite trustworthy of anyone else driving while I'm not in the car. Cool video though!

I bought my type r to Honda and they changed it for free at %70 in Coral Springs got a check engine light and they cleared it and did a whole service for me

They only offer the free service to get you in and hope to gain your trust then up sell you next time or find other work. I don't even pay attention to the service reminder thing in the car, whatever it says about oil %, lol F that. an oil change on these motors should happen way before 10k, especially the first one. Doing an oil change on this car is very easy to do, I did mine at 1500 miles for break in and will again at 5k, then every 5k after that, switched to Amsoil full synthetic too. Doing this, I can expect this engine to stay strong and clean for 300k or more, as I have always done it. I would not wait til; 10k, they want you to wait so they can sell more cars, oil is cheap, engines are not. Just my opinion, and to each his own, it is your car after all, but if you want trouble free experience with your engine, change the oil often and do it yourself so it is done right. A long reach low profile jack from harbor freight works perfect, the shield under the car comes off in 2 minutes, then it is one drain plug, washer and filter and your done.

Check for oil leak signs below the vacuum pump. Mine is in the dealer right now changing those gaskets. I seen others with that problem. The dealer will not tell you.
