She has her days. She relapsed again and again. So far, she is on 4 days of no prolapse. We brought in her sister, so she is not lonely.

No, my sickness related to severe allergies. I just was on another bout of antibiotics and a steroid, to calm everything.

It is rare, but can happen. I just wanted to share. They can die, if we can not get the vent back in. Does not help, they keep pushing it out. But when you find the right position, then your are good. Does not work like that for everyone, just my experience with it.

Take a momma off the nest and dip her under belly in water,,, that cools her off. Close the coop and make them stay out. That’s always worked for me with hens. Put her in a separate space works to. Normally no eggs they give up. Thanks for the duck information! Wish me luck! 🙏

You want the ingredients to be cool, especially the butter. You want nice butter chunks throughout the crust.

Domesticated ducks generally can't fly. Muscovy and Mallards can fly. They can use their wings to jump on or over things. They can "fly" if there is a nice wind. My Runners got a nice breeze and went over the fence which is 4ft high. They mostly glide, when they do try and fly.

We spread it on the garden. Duck poop is one of the best fertilizer.

It is really up to the individual. I do think, having a few on hand is helpful.

If you are raising them to put them in the freezer , more water ends up meaning more fat . If I am raising them for the freezer , they only get water to drink . Breeders get water to play in .

It was a wonderful light and tropical dessert. It was very tasty. Better with ice cream on the side.
