It’d be really neat to combine two of these with a Dialed Motion setup. You’d get a full functional trainer on your rack with 220 lb of resistance on each side and a lot more functionality than a traditional plate loaded or selectorized weight stack.

Why are you thinking you'd need the dialed motion? Isn't that just an extra piece?
@fwiffo42

@@GrayMatterLifting faster to move the cable exit point up and down. It may be overkill, but I think there could be some value in combining these new types of resistance to a traditional machine. Like what if you had 2 or 3 cable machines in your garage but instead of needing to load them with plates or have a stack for each one, you could connect on of these to whichever machine you were using. Get the optimal bio-mechanics of a machine with a quickly movable, smart resistance source.

@@fwiffo42 totally with you on the machine. I'm not seeing a huge win with the Dialed Motion though. You'd be connecting a pully system to a pully system, which seems redundant. Instead, keep pulling the cable and hook the black pin, the one that the small end of that hook is connected to, and slot that black pin over the smith machine hook. This is how Inspire does it. This also removes any slack in the system. I hope this makes sense.

Hi Joe, Thanks again for the XT4 review! We're thrilled you like it, especially since it's become your current favorite sled! We saw you experienced tilting in your video with the harness on the front tire. For the smoothest multi-directional movement, we recommend attaching the harness from the back of the sled. This provides better traction and minimizes tilting and leads the swivel better. We appreciate your feedback about the workout demos, and we're happy to let you know we've include a video! May check it out here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gL-KksuFy9HYZZ8.htmlsi=9lPt7BOyl9rLSKPq In the meantime, if you have any specific questions we'd be happy to help! Thanks, Xebex Team

@GrayMatterLifting
@GrayMatterLifting 25 күн бұрын
Couple thoughts in my head... 1) the guide rods and cables and system are meant to have the additional 50lb add ons. So that's a 45lb plate more or less. So I'm only adding an additional 45 or so beyond that. While I'm not excited about it, it's a couple of sets per week total. I think if you had a pretty low quality all in one, you'd have to consider that. Think about how much extra you are adding. Right now, I'm in the comfortable spot. If I moved to 3+ plates I'd start to get real concerned

@@GrayMatterLiftingthe 50lb additional weight is centered though so that would be fine. The worry with the gym pin is not the cable snapping but more so damage to the guide rods as you have uneven weight distribution being applied. I know that some "home gym" machines are pretty loose. The cables aren't super tight, the guide rods are kind of free floating, and that would be one where I'd say NO GO.
