I have quick question concerning the adapter plate I’ve seen on the website , I’m planing on a Rwd conversion on a Vw golf . I know for a fact that Vw Tdi and 1.8T have same bolt pattern , are you using the standard ford flywheel, pressure plate and 23 spline clutch disc ? I can see a crank adapter in the parts list, so I’m assuming yes maybe ? Also is there a pilot bearing inserted in the VW crank for the ford transmission input shaft ?

Hi Evguy1, just curious why you needed a rear driveshaft spacer? Isn't the transmission in the same place as it was originally in the truck? Since you didn't mention anything in the list about new transmission mounts...By the way, I am hoping to do a very similar project soon with the same automatic transmission, I was wondering if you could explain exactly the settings you used for the Dakota Digital module for the transmission speed sensor to fool the TCU into shifting earlier. Thanks!

mazda rf 2.2 diesel engine is perfect match for ford ranger, that is the engine installed in ford ranger in the philippines

Yes the adapters for a few different vehicles as well as motor mounts and other parts. tdconversions.com

Could i do this swap on my 83 square body ranger?? It has the 2.3 and 4 speed right now but wanting to 5 speed swap it too...

In order to use one of my adapters you would need to swap in the later 3L or 4L V6 transmission. People are doing this swap on all sorts of vehicles, older and newer.

TD Conversions.com ok i could do that. I’d just need to figure out the wiring and we’re golden. I love the sound, reliability and efficiency of these little 1.9tdi engines.. we just put one in my friends 91 mkii jetta carat and it’s a whole different beast now..

If I had a 1995 v6 4wd ranger would your adapter plate work for that transmission? I would be using a 1.9 alh engine with a Malone stage 4 tune.

Also how do you make the transmission shift without the computer from the original gas engine

If the truck has a 3L or 2.8L, 2.9L, 4L engine then I have adapters for both.

@@peanutbutterisfu You keep the original ECU and just feed it the couple of inputs it needs to shift properly.

I look at websites. Did not see a package for 2004 ford ranger 2.3 5speed. Do guys make one?

I don't do an adapter for the 2.3. Most guys change the transmission to the V6 one and I have adapters for both the 3L and 4L V6.

Whatever top speed is on a Ranger. It has similar power with the TDI so should have same performance.
