I think the plank is the most useless exercise I can hold a plank for up to a hour even stretch it does nothing

Go fir weighted planks then with perfect form, agreed though, it gets kinda useless

Use it at the end of your exercise routine!I train my abs at the end of my exercise routine and right at the end I do "the plank" with slight variations like reaching my arms out either side,crawling while holding the plank position!I get really sore!

Not useless, but it is overrated. Simple crunches (or sit-ups) is just as, if not more than efficient.
