What about those essential recovery days? Isnt it proven that periods of complete rest enhance maximum performance?

Greetings HdJ! Definately, I was only pointing out that streaks are an interesting goal but should not determine your entire training plan. Rest and recovery are absolutely key!! That said a recovery ride can be included in your streak! Sorry if I did not make that clear!p

Yes there is even a study from finland 2013 that athletes with less than 2 recovery days a week have elevates risk of 520% to get injured compared to athletes with 2 recocery days a week.

An hour a day for 365 days at say min intensity 65% is extremely light and easy. 2 hours a day at 80% at 43 no recovery could be imposs over a year

I don’t think I ever hit 10 days before but this is exciting so let’s say 15 days streak for 2021... first time on such goal and yeah writing it down and sharing over the community to keep myself motivated

2020 bike streak started with quarantine in March until today. Hard to kick the habit once you get get going.

I'm on streak for few month. Mostly cycling, then running and walking for recovery days. Walking every day 8-15 km. It is very relaxing. Since new year I'm on training plan that is time consuming, so my running is little bit neglected right now. I think that walking is very essential for good health. Fiscally and mentally. Every day activity is key.

Well, bike commuters have huge streaks. I know a guy who rode, on Strava, 364 days in 2020. Most of his rides were the 14 miles, to and from work.

I go 28 on with 4 days off 11 x a year so my streak is never more than 24 days sometimes it’s less than 7 but mentally it works for me

My goal is to do squat everyday for a year. My program is to do 5 x 5 with one minutes of rest in between sets increasing the weight on barbell by 2 kg every 2 days for a week. The following week I just do 4 x 25 squats with no weight and then I repeat all over. I came with this "plan" because it would take me less time than going for a ride which I will do but not everyday What do you think? Is it too much?

I would do a s-shaped (sigmoid) gain pattern instead of that linear 2kg but your plan sounds well thought out. But don't forget about cardio altogether!

think of getting a Chinese carbon TT wheel and can't decide between a tri-spoke or 88mm, which do think is faster?

Tri spoke is normally faster, but there is not much in it, half the saving in rotational drag

30th day today, or 29th... last off off day was 13th of march... today i cheated a bit, did just 27 min holistic touch up motorneuron unit recruitment and hip mobility... :P

TOday i call it quits at 39 days streak. I've to say I'm tempted to continue it to full 100, was wrestling against the idea a bit, but today i do it. have had qutie astreak, alot of quality traiing and this week is recovery phase before my half-distance triathlon build starts on sunday...have to really try to recover too :D

I would be happy if the kids, work and life in general would allow me to get 7 days in a row where my training was allowed to go to plan.
