can u actually see the HUGE difference between Blackpink solo songs each solo really represents the member Solo was so Jennie Sassy clear emotions but elegant On the ground and Gone were super soft emotional and storytellers like Rosé Lalisa and Money were confidence sass girl crush not shy swagg like Lisa i'm so excited for Jisoo's solo cz the combination makes them BLACK and PINK

Lisa's "Money" literally killed me with the amount of charisma, sexiness and swag that came off the entire thing. I also still can't believe our girl literally lit a tissue on fire and threw it while being all calm and cool at the same time lol. The whole time before seeing the bts, I thought that part was some kind of digital effect they had added in but of course, I forget. It's YG. So no green screens or effects LOL. Also, in the outro of "Money", the "dun dun dun" can actually be interpreted as "don" which means "money" in Korean. So she's basically saying "money" (x16) then "dropping on you, you!" 😎 Rosé "Gone" always hits me in the feels, even more so than OTG at times. Maybe it's because we all could relate to that kind of feeling at some point in our lives when it concerns matters of the heart 😔 ...I also wished they kept the house burning in the mv though. In the bts, you can see it burning but they didn't include it in the mv *sighs* Jennie's remix of "Solo", what else is there to say lol? She wrote new rap lines for it and slayed!! Jisoo's cover of "Yuki no Hana" is by far my favorite when it comes to her solo covers. It just does a fantastic job highlighting her beautiful vocals ❤

Lisa does usually sing in a lower register. She has a fantastic tone, which is often under-appreciated. If you want a good performance that highlights the singing vocals of all of the girls (including Jisoo's soaring falsetto), I highly recommend "Don't Know What To Do". There is no M/V, but there is an excellent dance practice video.

Lisa is trained to be a vocalist at first, but her tone vocal suits more when she's rapping so they assigned her as Lead rapper alongside with Jennie who is the Main rapper. Neverthless, all YG trainess/Idols are all rounder it means, they can Rap, Dance and Sing at the same time.

Well she wrote them both I believe (my opinion) "On the Ground" is about the Rollercoaster she went through because of Blackpink going from Training to Debut and then the international hype of Blackpink which came really fast and in this song i believe she reminds herself that it is important to not get your fame over your head. "Gone" i believe is about her suddenly moving to South Korea and leaving her family behind to achieve her dream and the lonlines she experienced for beeing apart from her family and friends in Australia If someone knows it better or the truth behind the two songs please inform us by posting it in the comments.

She was involved in all aspects of her solo even down to the album cover design which she did herself and album/music video concepts she helped with. She has two videos on her own channel 'ROSÉ Official' that show more one called "interview film" and another "thank you for loving R" she actually took herself to an extreme level of exhaustion which you can see in the video 'thank you for loving R'. If you didn't know "R" is the title of her single album.

She work hard and wrote this song 2 years ago if you have time you can check out her interview on the Zach Sang Show you'll know more a lot on how the writing process was prepared and her perspective towards her song that's one of my favorite interview of hers she really did great explaining the entire -R- single album. Blackpink doing solo is like 4 way intersection (East, West, North and South) but when they are together they are a compass. Jennie always the sassy one (dont give a fudge vibe) Lisa always the mischievious one (silently killed you with her swag and playfullness) Jisoo always is the mysterious one (you wont be able to read her, she always been able to mask her emotion) While Rosé always the emotional one (wrecking our emotions to the extend you feel like being wrapped in a blanket and being thrown with a bucket of ice in the same time) Thats why Blackpink is so powerfull. Gone written +/- 2y ago, she recorded this track with just one take. Gone might be the continuous of Love sick girl, the ink tub in GONE are the same as in Love sick girl mv where Rosé crying with ink all over her. Rosé co-wrote, co-composed and co-produced both of her solo songs thats the reason we can feel that both of her songs are "so Her". She also designed her solo album from scratch. She's officially credited as one of the creative director of her first solo album. Really wish you could react to Rosé live stage.

Lisa brings bags and bags of money to YG lol YG's stock rose to its peak during Lisa solo after a decade. She sold 950k albums still counting. A million seller. And Lisa says "Celine my shoe" she's flexing that she's the first ever Global Ambassador of the brand Celine 😂😂 I love this song but at the same time makes me feel broke. Hmm... I think they all had a hard time and because Jennie is famous in the beginning of the group when the company didn’t think they could be that big so it’s hard to handle the situation. When they had the time to adjust now that everything is alright, so saying she was being mistreated by her company and fandom is somehow a one-sided story I think....

All these new stans think jennie is mistreated blackpink is mistreated but choose to ignore their own words about how close they are with YG artists their make up artists choreographers and the entire team. They nit pick small details which might not even necessarily say they are not happy with something but choose to ignore the words directly from the pinks. They did drag maeng and their choreographers and even YGE for random things. Have been a stan since their debut but i can definitely say they are not mistreated but are treated the best. They are treated bad by the fandom who is divided into solo stans and drag other members. They are paid the best in the industry without a loan to payback after debut and they are allocated highest budget for M/V's ever since debut and were assigned top producers and choreographers and staff from debut which shows the confidence YGE have in these girls. Good music takes time to be created and so they take their own time to do so.

Good thing you watched Jisoo’s Yuki No Hana after Rosé’s Gone. It’s a very soothing track after that brutally painful, ‘Girl, Who Hurt You Let Me Give That Person A Word’ Gone song. Did you notice that ripped band-aid revealing a gunshot on glass in Gone? Yeah, the imagery of that MV fits with the sad story Rosé’s singing about. She wrote Gone 3 years ago and we want to hunt that person who left her like that. Our dear maknae Lisa just had to be a fierce lion slaying dance steps after dance steps while looking like a new-born kitten. Her duality is extreme, it’s insane. Cool that you had that Money dance tradition too. From where I’m from, we have that dance too, a chance for wedding guests to flaunt their wealth. Haha! Don’t worry, Jisoo’s solo will be top-notch no doubt. I’m speculating it will be a ballad of some sort showcasing her unique vocals. It will be very Jisoo and she’ll write the lyrics to it, hopefully.

Jennie said this on a Billboard interview about Lisa in their trainee days: "Somebody would come in with a piece of paper and stick it on a wall, and it would say who did the best, who did the worst, and who's going home. Lisa would always get As for everything." A, B, and C would be the score for rapping, dancing and singing. If Lisa always gets an A for singing during their training, i bet she CAN sing. It's just that she isn't given time to shine in terms of singing yet. She also said she isn't that confident yet. But you should hear her singing when they're just joking and goofing around... girlie got some nice and sweet vocals.

I mean tbh she does showcase vocals in BP songs but it's so little that it's very easy to miss, took me months before I even noticed she has a little singing part in "Whistle"

Also Rosé said Gone was very personal to her, like her diary, depicting a very vulnerable moment. Solo remix new rap is also written by Jennie. So yeah they are very personal to the girls. "Money dance" might refer to Lisa being a professional dancer tbh. A "I don't dance I work" moment if you will, she literally makes money by dancing, her dance is the money dance, but not in the stripping sense. EDIT: And I'm surprised no one said it yet: The "don" at the end sounds very similar to the word money in Korean, so it's a clever word play: Money money money dropping on you.

What I like about Jennie's Solo is that the original is already iconic and then the remix came. The remix neither underwhelm nor overshadowed the original. The remix gave what the original lack (which is the long rap and beat changes) but yet again if you will listen to the original, you will still love the original. There is a balance between the two audios. Both also highlight Jennie's vocals, rap, dance, and visual.

She doesn't realise how much she pushes the boundaries/baffles/provokes people, especially as a foreign idol with her stripper song and pole dancing. What I like to jennie's original song is that the killing part "now Im going slow mo". But in the solo remix I love the new rap better than the original and also the dance break. Hence, all the members shows their side to their solo's (I mean their genre?). Waiting for jisoo's solo to complete my Ot4 and jennie's comeback coz she only have 1 song.

Well since you mentioned the braids... On her online fansign call, a fan told Lisa that her wearing braids in MONEY had something to do with the cutural inappropriation thing. Lisa sincerely listened to the fan despite the staff wanted her to end the call. After that, Lisa apologized to the fan, told her to tell her friends, family, people that she's very very very sorry, she didn't mean to hurt their feelings or violate their culture, and promised that she'd be careful and double check everything in advance next time. Lisa's a good girl, she's humble and sweet. I love her so much

i think “Money” is a song intended more for the western market. Thats why its number 1 in the billboard rap digital sales. The lyrics for the track was written by Bekuh Boom and Vince, with music being composed by them alongside 24 and R. Tee. Although Bekuh Boom has been part in some of the BP songs, Teddy Park, the producer and writer of most of the Blackpink songs is not part of this.

I like how lisa tired something different from other two member and something different from Blackpink style . Lalisa is old school yg style ( 2 gen ) unpredictable end which means it doesn't end with high beat banger but it has certain twist which is so different from Blackpink . Jennie and rosé song was about break up ( solo - gone ) it was so different that Lisa represented herself in her solo from debut hit single like lalisa ( which only represent her ) and money ( which represent being self independent and self love ) . I've found a few people saying they don't like money for their lyrics, I found it interesting 'cause personally I love it. From a personal perspective the song is a whole mockery towards the "importance" of money it self and how it's praised and deified, you can see it since the billboard saying "money is a terrible master but an excellent servant" to lisa funny singing about how she's dropping all of it since after all, money it's a vanal possesion. It obtains much more sense when you find out Lisa was actually scammed by her former manager by robbing her around a million dollars wasted on betting. Lisa herself said it wasn't the lost money what made her sad but the fact that she trusted the man with her whole soul (they were friends for years, since lisa's debut) yet he betrayed her. I think lisa is having fun about how she never really has wanted money as her main goal it just came by with the archivement of her real goal, being an idol and inspire people. LISA has a lot of fun thinking "I have money and I prolly will never be lacking out of it, I can drop it like it's pouring but, the fun thing is having money wasn't even my main dream/goal at all, so I can drop it and I don't mind it 'cause I don't work for money, I don't live for it, it’s just comes by me doing what I love to do, rapping, singing, dancing and perform". The main reference for me is how important is to not objectify money, after all it will come and go with time, focus on making a real archivement in your life, something that actually has a meaning to you, not only making money, after all if you do what you love in the best possible way it probably will bring you money at the end of the day. These are my subjective thoughts.

Jennie was actually suppose to have two songs with a single album just like her members, but after her solo was announced many so called “blinks” hated on her so much that they changed her single album to a solo song. In 2018 the hate was so bad that is why they changed her two songs to one and she archived a lot of her solo post on instagram because there was so much hate under those post either asking for the other members solos, sending death threats, saying she should leave the group, etc.

fun fact: in the money mv the tune goes "ton torara ron ton" which may just be music sense but "ton" means money in korean so....double meaning all the backup dancers are from YGX...YG dancers are actually quite famous. they are like celebrities themselves and all have dozens of fans. not just YG dancers but also their managers and producers have many fans too....THE ONLY COMPANY!
