Exercise makes you skinnier?
Yes, training may be totally wasting your gains. In fact, the vast majority of us training are wasting our gains. But wait, you don't have to stop training completely, there is still hope. There is only one solution that can be. Are you ready warrior? Let's go
Well folks, I want to start by saying that we are generally very influenced by Bodybuilding culture. Everything has to result in muscle growth. Running is not worth it, because muscle does not grow from that, eating things that do not have protein either because muscle does not grow from that. Practically all the channels focus on this, on teaching the things that produce muscle growth, but it IS understandable because it is the most that people look for. But don't you find it a bit ridiculous? Also, I firmly believe that if your training goal is to increase that or that - your gains will be only temporary or much more minimal. Because it's like happiness - if you keep saying - I want to be happy, I want to be happy - you are not going to be happy. Because the simple fact of saying "I want to be" already implies that now you are not and you project yourself to something unattainable in the future. You have to be happy now and right now and that's it. The same with your workouts - I want to be muscular, I want to be muscular - you are programming yourself to what you are missing now something and that only at some point in the future you will supposedly achieve it. And in short, no matter how much you grow or do not grow, you are not going to enjoy the path and in itself this path will never lead to anything. You are already muscular even if you have never trained, all people have the same muscles. Let things flow, you are already the most mamadisimo in the Universe, I tell you this if this helps your ego. And by letting things flow - much more will emerge and result in every way. So folks, the first point I want to make today is - Training for enjoyment is the most important thing for feeling good and for overall progress. And to enjoy the training you have to completely forget about the ego, all these numbers of how many kilos you and the others lift, how many reps you have done that or that. Just let things flow, play - do exercises that make you feel good, with amounts of weight and reps that make you feel good. If you do it through suffering, you better not do it. Because it's like kicking a plant and waiting for it to flower. Strength really is game. The strongmen of the past, in fact I don't know why this word makes me so funny, - strongman, - they had no idea of these training systems that we have now - for example, how is the Split of the muscles, which is the typical program gym training, or anything like that. They also didn't do volume and definition phases, and they didn't order supplements online either. I imagine they lived much calmer in the mental sense. They would go out to play with their Russian weights, to throw them in the air, try various things and tricks with them. Try playing with a 32 kilo weight, you are not there like a robot doing the same non-functional patterns, if not - you move, your whole body works from the legs to the ears. And so they became beasts with what they did. Until much more - already when Ivan Poddubniy was dying, he got up to give him a little weight of 32 to see if it would help him with the disease. So you carry the exercise until the day of death, not just a few years, after which you burn or burn and that's it. It doesn't have to be kettlebell, but I hope you got the idea - you like to get a muscle up - or you like the way you feel doing it - do it, but not because it increases your chest or something.
Also, now we come to the second very important point - not every type of training will give you muscles or increase your muscle mass. But that does not mean that they are useless or that they should not be done. In fact the other way around. It is normal to train for zero muscle gains. For example, I love doing exercises for wrist, grip, forearms. How much muscle mass can I gain in my forearms? I think 50 grams would be at most in the next 5 years. But what does it matter if I love this kind of magic. For example, an average man can generate a grip force of around 50-55 kilos and I remember not so long ago in this type of thing he had super average strength. I can't say it's extraordinary now, but I've reached 90, which really fascinates me and it seems magical - how you can't and then you can. It is the same arm, the same tool with which I am doing the exercise, but the result is different. How much muscle mass did I gain in the process? Surely zero.
