This is a great vegan alternative to mayonnaise that uses just 3 ingredients! Its great as a salad dressing base, condiment, sauce or served with grilled meat or vegetables.
This recipe is Vegan, Whole30, Paleo, Dairy Free, Grain Free, Gluten Free, SCD

I must have tried a million ways to try to make toum, high powered blender, food processor, pestle and mortar... Never thought to use my IMMERSION blender haha. Thanks so much for finally bringing sense to my life :)

My issue with this sauce is you can't really seem to not make a huge unreasonable amount. Like every recipe calls for like 3 cups of oil. That's way more than I ever have on hand and if I don't eat all the sauce it's a waste

It’s not a waste. It lasts months in the fridge with a air tight container

Seems like a tedious way of making this. I would smash the garlic cloves which will be easier to remove the peel and germ. And if making this is anything like making mayo via an immersion blender, just dump the remaining ingredients in after you blend the garlic. Your stick needs to be on the bottom of the container and blend, once you see the emulsion start to happen, very slowly move the stick up to ensure the mixture doesn't break and mixed well. Once it's all mixed you're good. Easy Peasy! 😉 yes, mayo is that easy too with an immersion blender

I cant seem to get it right.. yesterday I tried for the 3rd time and did everything according to the recipe but it stays very watery. I cant seem to get the same consistency as you

I tried it in a blender 3 times. Total disaster. Must’ve wasted 5 cups of oil and a pound of garlic.

Blender is not effective for emulsions, food processor is next best. Hand blenders are best, you don’t even really need to slow drizzle with those.

crush the garlic first , it will be easier to peel it

What kind of oil?

Avocado or Vegetable oil work best, you want to use a very mild flavoured oil

@@EveryLastBite Can you Extra Virgin Olive oil for the Health benefits? Will it still taste good? or also maybe Grapeseed oil? (2nd healthiest...as veg oil not too healthy
