Simple to make torch holder for the Henrob 2000 and a gas saver. Took less than an hour to fabricate. I made a little addition to this video.

Great idea; excellent and frugal implementation! Headed out to make one for myself right now.

Great and useful project George! Why didn't you use the Henrob to cut the tubing?

I like the Henrob for brazing and welding. I have a plasma cutter and have never taken the time to perfect cutting with the Henrob.

What you fabricated, does it act as just a holder or as the gas saver as well? Great videos by the way.

Gary, the gas saver unit come with a rod for holding a traditional torch. When the torch is hung on the rod it turns off the oxygen and acetylene to the torch. The rod that comes with the gas saver unit doesn't work too well for the Henrob. So I came up with this idea to hold the Henrob, thus turning the gas (oxy/ace) to the torch off. What is illustrated is just the holder for the torch. The actual gas saver is the brass unit with the in/out connections for the oxy/ace. Hope this answered your question.

George, you remind me of my dad. Rather than buy something already designed by someone else,he always made something that though not always as refined, worked. Why cut out the pipe, that holds the tip instead of using whole pipe? Flame heat on insertion? Nice rig. Thanks George.

Peter, if I used the whole tube then I have to pull the torch straight out the full length of the tube. Not sure what you mean: "Flame heat on insertion".

George Goehl Yes sir exactly. With lit torch, you'd have to put flame through the whole tube vs just the ring you left at the top. Was just thinking of the kinda,, jiggley fit when torch sits in the cradle. Obviously it works fine. You're a resourceful man and for sure appreciate your videos. Thanks George.

Slip the torch tip in the holder. Weight of the torch shuts off the oxygen acetylene. Pilot light stays lit. Remove torch from holder, pass it across the pilot light and it lights the torch.
