You and I are going to drink a lot of coffee together. Like, borderline dangerous amounts of coffee.
So, first things first. Pour yourself a mug and I’ll introduce myself real quick.
My name’s Jordan - but everyone calls me “J” - and I’m a 27th degree black belt in chugging coffee.
I’m also strength & nutrition coach, I hold several powerlifting world records, and I’ve been fortunate enough to have my writing featured in a variety of outlets like CNN, the Huffington Post, and Schwarzenegger.com.
But listen.
This channel isn’t for fame, publicity, cash, props, fist bumps, likes, pings, pows or whatever else there is.
It’s a place where you and I can chat.
I’ll never sugar coat, lie, or beat around the bush. I’ll tell you everything exactly as I see it. Some stuff you might like. Others you might not.
And that’s totally cool.
Either way, my goal here is to create a discussion. A place where you and I can get together, exchange ideas, and motivate each other to be better every day.
Like I said, we’re gonna drink a lot of coffee together - borderline dangerous amounts - but I’m excited. Because there aren’t too many online communities in which the sole purpose is to inspire and motivate one another.
And that’s exactly what you and I are going to do here.

Jordan!!!! I watched your series with Alyssa and also have been a fan for quite some time…..I am almost 65 years old, just starting to include a 30 minute walk/run exercise regimen with a bit of weight lifting. I have listened to you hammer home the importance of calories in calories out and the importance of protein….I am so happy to report that I am down 6.5 pounds in 2 months….increased my protein appropriately and have been consistent in my exercise routine……YAY!! 🎉 I am so very proud of myself but I have to give you mega credit for getting me going…..thank you so much….Congratulations on the new baby coming soon ❤ I have 6 little grandbabies and they are my everything

Recently discovered your channel and am surprised you don't have millions of subscribers. You make so much sense (perhaps that's why?). All my adult life, my most consistent, frequent prayer has been "God, please don't let me die fat", even before I was fat. Now, at 66 years old, it's now or never. 75 lbs down, 50 more to go.

For me game changer was weighted vest. I'm wearing it when I'm running and during my walks. It helps me stay in only slice calorie deficit and still loosing weight.

I absolutely love the stop sign/red light analogy. I get so discouraged when the scale won't move (or moves the wrong direction), but it's a great reminder on those tough days that it's ALL part of the journey. Thank you so much for your no-nonsense weight loss advice, you're the best!

So loving your content on KZfaq of late (it's where I first found you, but now I follow you on Insta and listen to all of your mini podcasts on my walks 😊) I'm glad you never gave up on us over here even if people aren't the best at watching longer form content these days (it's still my fave format!) I think what you're doing is incredible in terms of providing so many resources to support people in their learning about health and fitness, and making it so accessible to the general public (science-based, but real world practical!)

I've been following you on Instagram for months. Started watching your KZfaq videos recently. Using your calorie calculator, since every other one gives me 1200 calories or less. And I'm on a mission to get 10,000 steps everyday, with intentional walking not just random steps.

I've been struggling with the variety of eating disorders my whole life, but your videos over the years helped me to improve my relationship with food and with myself. Next week, I will continue once again my fat loss journey, but this time I will try to start with the calorie deficit which is not big at all and this scares the hell out of me. I never had the patience and I can usually lose 20-30 kg over the three months period and then gain it back because of my binge eating disorder. I live in this loop for very long, always trying to figure out different ways to get out of it. Now I decided to try my best to follow your advice, wish me luck, I am really scared and anxious! Anyway, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart, because, you are the only one that I follow (and I follow a lot of fitness content) that really gives me the sense of peace and hope that one day I will work this out and everything will be okay eventually. Say hello to the Old Abe, she is the best! ❤

I can’t possible love this video more than I do. Thank you for acknowledging how sucky it is for a small person to try and reduce calories to further weight loss. It’s like I’m already not having fun and then I’ll REALLY not have fun. I really liked the tips about adding a little extra movement to push through.
