In this video I am going to guide you through the alignment cues for Tadasana Mountain Pose 🧍♂️
This yoga pose is also known as Samasthiti which translates to Equal Standing Pose.
The way we stand on the yoga mat, reflects the way we stand in life. Correct posture leads to less injuries and discomfort in the body. That is why this tutorial will help you correct your standing posture. 🌟
👉 The aim? To feel free and at ease when standing. This will reflect in all your asanas on the yoga mat, but also in life when you walk, sit, or run.

Tadasana or Mountain Pose is a basic standing yoga posture that helps to improve your posture, balance, and concentration. It is a simple but powerful pose that helps to strengthen the legs, hips, and core muscles of the body.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do Tadasana Mountain Pose Yoga:
1. Stand straight with your feet hip-distance apart and your arms at your sides. Your body should be relaxed, and your weight evenly distributed on both feet.
2. Engage your thighs by lifting your kneecaps and drawing your tailbone down towards the ground.
3. Lengthen your spine by reaching the crown of your head towards the ceiling and relaxing your shoulders away from your ears.
4.Bring your palms together in front of your heart in Anjali Mudra. This is an optional variation of Tadasana that helps to improve balance and concentration.
5. Hold the pose for several breaths, then release and repeat as desired.
Tadasana is a great way to start your yoga practice and can be done anywhere, anytime. It is a simple but effective pose that can help to improve your physical and mental wellbeing.

*Important Please Read - Your wellbeing and safety is my priority. You are here to improve your health and general wellbeing and it is important to remember that. If at any point you feel pain in a specific Asana (Yoga Posture), take a step back and release out of it. Another way the body communicates to us is with the breath. If it’s tense or you keep holding it, that is a good hint that you need to step back. Instead of 100% effort, drop it into 50-60%. The breath should always flow comfortably.
