@Keltie O'Connor some advice, for anyone that you're talking to in the future that is thinking of this. If they want more than just one opinion. And they want that one-on-one. Find a couple Tata bars. Go to Bo shifts day and night. I would go on a off day of the week so that you could talk to people. I danced for 10 years. Natural. I was paid to stay natural. I was paid quite well. I'm also an herbalist. I've taken care of, goodness 53 woman. Having surgeries having difficult with surgeries, having breast implant illness. It was never talked about like that, in the 90s. Or early 2000. Little by little it was trickling but not like it is now. I watched a girlfriend of mine get hers done five times. Every time so many problems. I'm so thankful, she got this last set out for good. Truly go in with a fella and your girlfriend. Be nice tip the girls and just ask them hey listen I'm looking for a personal experience have you had any problems with any surgeries. There are plenty of them that will be outright open and tell you. And there are some girls that will never have a problem. I think they can methylate completely properly. They can remove toxins from their cells. If you can't methylate you can't remove toxins and severe issues arise. I always nurse people back to health. And being in that industry brush jobs nose jobs tummy tucks all kinds of stuff. My one girlfriend had an allergic reaction to filler. Another girl, half of her bottom died. It was insanity. She went to Mexico. She worked for 2 years to raise the money to be able to have the surgery. Towards the end a whole bunch of us got together and donated to her so she could go have the surgery in California. In anyone's future if they're thinking of having surgery is the best place for that is in the industry. Don't go to the very ritzy places. Go to the fun smaller places. They'll be honest. And I guarantee you'll have fun.

Thanks for posting this. Ive been on the same fb group. I think your perspective is healthy, i am sure many people are affected by BII, not everyones problems are from the implants. I HATE my implants. Ive had them for 15 years, and I am planning on getting them out. I like your perspective on the capsule. Ive heard it is dangerous to remove it a d its not necessary. My thought on it is It does t matter if I do t remove it because I also have a mesh implant for a hernia I had. So I cant remove that so There is no reason to take a risk removing the capsule. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They are in the way, my back always hurts, they make me look way bigger than I am because they are to big for my frame. (Dr said she was doing a full C and I woke up with a DDD!!!😖) You look beautiful and very happy! I am for sure going to go get mine removed. Cant wait to feel like me again.

I never had any breast implant illnesses. I just knew that I made a mistake immediately! I hated them. I went from an A cup to a C cup. When I went thru early menopause, I gained weight. My breasts went to a D cup. I felt too guilty to spend the money to get them out. I lived with them for 20 years. When I ended up having a breast biopsy for a benign tumor...that was it. I had explant surgery 2 months later. I feel so good! I've lost the menopause weight and am back to a glorious A cup. No more underwire or minimizing bras for me. My advice: you are more than your breasts. Love yourself.

you don't like to feel healthy, you like to feel pretty. Hair has no impact on your health and skin has very little. Using creams to make your hair shinier and with the color you want is not making your haid healthier, it's purely making your hair prettier based on standards of others and now yours. Our skin is the healthies if it's not washed for 2 or 3 days, no one does that because that would mean be sweaty.

@@paulogaspar8295 poor hair and skin are signs of larger health problems. Additionally this is a bit outdated of a view, most products now are infused with vitamins and nutrients to deliver health benefits to hair and skin as well as cosmetic benefits. Also it depends on your skin type how often you should be washing, but 2-3 days is too long for anybody to go without washing their face. + skin is the bodies largest organ, it is a part of your health.

The vast majority of women who gets a breast job have very good and nice results physically, mentally and emotionally in life. Is important to clarify that. Because many people doubt about it when listen bad stories. And that's a problem because it's taking away an opportunity of getting a happier life for women who need it. People have to understand that a plastic surgery is not different from styling your hair, make up, buying a new t-shirt that fits and looks better on you, build muscle, using high heels, wearing a necklace... It's an instinct. Is good. Nature have that in all species, birds, insects, mammals and humans. And many cultures have their own way of change something about their body for aesthetic purposes. Like anything in life, everything has exceptions. Some of them doesn't get what they expected or it just simple result bad for them in some way on what they do or how they feel. What you have to do is to listen the good stories too. And always listen to yourself and what do you want.

Fellow A cup haver here! I spent several years not liking my chest when I was younger, not feeling like a 'real woman' and being 'out of proportion' etc, but I think this came mostly from how I believed I was being perceived by others and not being in the 'average percentile'. It wasn't until I was a bit older and more mature that I actually stopped to think about it, as well as realising what the consequences might be if I decided to eventually have implants, and now I just rock what I've got no matter how small they are. I like that I don't have back pain from having a heavy chest, or restricted upper mobility, or having a sea of men ogle at my chest before they look at my face. By all means I'm not shitting on boob jobs either, it's each to their own and for some it works great, but for me I'm now finally okay with just being 'me'. I can already tell you're so much more happy and motivated from having them out, you're gonna be unstoppable!

This is really nice for me to hear this, because I've been so insecure about my small boobs for about the past five years. :( In my 20s I was a 32B, and now in my late 30s I'm down to a 30A / 32AA. I've never figured out why they've been shrinking (I haven't lost weight), and it makes me feel like less of a woman. So I appreciate hearing people who actually are happy with their small size. Gives me hope that I'll get there one day.

My boobs are basically non-existent, so I had too some insecurities growing up. And then, in about my mid-20s I realized I like it that way. It's much more practical, I don't need a bra, I can wear tops with a really low cleavage without getting weird looks and in addition to that, as I developed more androgynous sense of style, I even think it looks much better like that. So I am really glad seeing other people embracing their small chests as well!

Thank you for talking about this. I wish you were around when I was 20. I had thought about getting them and even had the date set. The reason I wanted them was because of insecurity. I am a B cup and felt it wasn't good enough. A week before surgery the hubby was paying attention to that area more than normal and I asked why....he said "they are going to be different soon". When he said that something clicked. He loved me just the way I was and I didn't want to change me. Now at age 47 I am beyond happy I never had it done. My mindset is SO much different than it was at 20. Do know you are speaking out to those young girls who are only hearing the "glamour" of breast implants and not the negativity from them and its important to hear both sides before a decision is made and back then I did not really have that. Thank you

I had my implants removed like 6 years ago and I’m so happy I did. I personally was feeling insecure from having them inn. I felt kinda like people knew they were fake and that made me insecure. My husband was like just get them out. I had them 9 years and when I went to the doctor that put them in he was telling me I’m crazy basically. He was questioning my sanity . I was so mad when I left his office. Found another doctor and he removed them without any issues. He also told me he had more and more patients wanting them out. I don’t like the fake look and I really regret doing that in first place. I’m a cup and I feel good with what I have. Don’t care what society thinks at all. Look what they are doing …. They make body image a trend. Some of these people look like something out of this world. Natural is the true beauty:)

Your body changes over your lifetime. I was a 34A until I got pregnant in my late 20s, when they grew to a 34D. They went back to a 34A after I finished breastfeeding. I was a gym bunny until I was 50 when i moved to yoga and walking. I've put on a little weight since turning 50 (less than half a stone) and now I'm a 34C with no surgery. They would be too big for my frame now if I'd had a boob job when I was younger.

You look so much happier! I got my implants 2 years ago after a decade of being unhappy with my nonexistent boobs. It wasn't even an A cup, so shopping underwear or going swimming was a nightmare for me. I remember going on the internet and looking for ways to make them bigger at the age of 15/16 because everyone in my class already had boobs and mine just wouldn't grow. But now I'm somewhere between 34B and 34C (depending on the bra) and I love it. They are not too big, I can easily hide them or show them off whenever I want to. And I have so much more mental energy because I don't constantly obsess over my body anymore.

One aspect that gets overlooked is the impact that breast implants may have on the recipient’s future offspring. My dearly beloved mama who passed away in 2020 had gotten breast implants in the 70s and they ended up causing a very severe form of rheumatoid arthritis which eventually led to her having to get her leg amputated. She did receive a class action settlement but it was nowhere near enough to compensate for the pain and suffering she went through. She handled it with grace and courage but it was truly heartbreaking to see someone you love so much being tortured by her own body because of one unfortunate decision. She had her implants removed before I was born in the 80s, sadly it did not improve her health because I think the chemicals had already leached into her body. Also, my health has never been great. I’ve been dealing with chronic fatigue, joint pain, headaches and many other issues since I was a little kid. I remember going on forums years ago and seeing that there were many adult children of women who had breast implants and several of them had so many of the same issues that I’d had since childhood. I don’t know if the newer implants are safer but it does involve surgically implanting a big bag of chemicals and it would be silly to think that it’s impossible for those chemicals to end up elsewhere in the body and potentially in a future fetus. I think we are living in a strange time where a lot of things have been normalized but it’s important to think critically about how practical our choices are and consider long term consequences. Lots of love and healing vibes to anyone who reads this that may be suffering from breast implant illness. 🙌🏼💗

Keltie, thanks so much for this video! I'm not interested in breast implants, though I did consider them for bodybuilding purposes. But I am in a lot of chronic illness forums. They all get like that! I think so often with chronic illness it is easy to go down a rabbit hole and start attributing everything to one issue. It's always wise to take a step back and try to evaluate everything from a range of sources, just like you did!

I chickened out because I thought if something went wrong during surgery that would be a terrible waste. As I got older I have appreciated having smaller breasts a lot more. I think the emphases these days on health and fitness rather than a body type or shape is so much healthier mentally and physically. Thankyou for sharing such a well balanced and inclusive video. I’m not a small person by any definition but every time I lost weight I didn’t lose any boob but if I gained weight they got bigger. It was a vicious cycle and six months ago I got a reduction because I was having issues with pain and such. It was a great experience and option for me. I have friends with big boobs and pain from them who would never dream of getting a reduction. It’s really fantastic to think of how the human experience is universal but also so individual.

I lost a lot of weight and my boobs went to barely a B cup, I though about getting plastic surgery to lift them up and I never though about getting implants until all of the surgeons I visited recomended it since the loose skin would be taken off, they would be smaller in size. I was sadden when some of my Girl friends told me I should definetly add implants because they couldnt concieve being almost flat chested. I think videos like yours confirm that these type of decisions are meant to make you feel okay with yourself and not to fit with everyone else's expectations of you. It’s such an unfortunate situation that the industry gladly lets you make the choice to elect for what is, at least for most, a superficial surgery. an important thing we sometimes don't dig into enough is the femininity piece, and while i totally understand wanting to feel more feminine, the long and short of it is: breasts do not make a woman! you are as much of a woman now (without implants) than you were with larger breasts. there's so much pressure to look a certain way, and the fact that there is a pervasive idea of what a woman "should" look like is so stupid. in response i say, "fuck. that." so happy you are feeling healthy and happy! also, on the BII stuff Karissa Pukas did a really good video on it: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nsqioc6ZzrSqZoE.html.

I love your take on this!! Thank you for saying, not everyone gets sick! I am 2 weeks post op and am IN LOVE with my new boobies. I honestly didn't even really mind what I had before, I was a deflated 34b and I breastfed for a year and a half. An opportunity arose and I had spoken to my husband years ago about getting some implants though I never thought we'd ever have the money for me to get them, even if I really wanted them. So I let it go and just forgot about it really, but I had a baby in 2018 and my life has completely changed. I have done a ton of work on myself mentally and physically. I lost 70lbs, I managed to eliminate a lot things from my diet that were causing skin and digestive issues, I feel healthier and look better than I ever have in my life and I am so so happy with how I looked. We refinanced our house this year and had some extra cash and my husband brought up that conversation we had years ago, I remembered how I felt then versus now with my self confidence, etc and for a minute thought about turning down the idea until I realized that I am in a place now where if something happens and I get sick I am financially in a place to be able to get them taken out, I read a ton about BII and women who have explanted (probably why this video popped up on my recommended!) and still decided to go ahead with getting implants. Why? Honestly, I wanted to try them out. I wanted to see what it's like to have bigger breasts (I've always been fairly small, even when I was bigger), I wanted to see what it would do for my confidence. I had always liked the idea, but I knew I could live without them and it wouldn't be something that would bring down my self esteem if I didn't get them. So why the heck not. I'm done having children, I'm in shape, I'm healthy (my bloodwork is perfect), I frequent the gym (don't care to be lifting, I'm no body builder), I love what I do and I have no reason not to just give it a shot. If I get sick, I can take them out. I've heard some women say their symptoms resolve post explant and I've heard some women say they don't. It was a risk I was willing to take so I could see life from a different perspective that I'd probably never get to experience otherwise. I'm only 2 weeks out and I still have a lot of healing to do, though I am aware they can take up to a year before they're completely healed and stop changing and I am still completely in love. I don't really care about the look of scars, I have plenty and I have stretchmarks from when I was overweight and pregnant. No one's body is perfect and getting implants has drastically increased my confidence, I feel so much more feminine, I really enjoy looking at myself in the mirror (even while in the spongebob squareboob phase) and if they don't drop like many say they do, I am pretty confident I'd be completely okay with that. They're about 4 inches below my chin right now lol, but they're so much fun I don't think I'd mind it. I have always liked how I looked, flaws and all, especially since losing weight; but just having my implants for 2 weeks I am so happy I got them. Life is short, we all get sick and die in the end and if some bags in my chest could improve the time I have left on this planet and make me enjoy my one, short life just a little bit more... Hell yeah. :)

@@lifeofconfusion hi Lauren! Well, the doctor left the capsules in and just took the saline implants out. He said the capsules should dissolve on their own. Now I did my explant in his office, under local anesthesia, bcuz my implants were saline and over the muscle, they were easier to remove than if they were under the muscle. I feel so much better now that they are gone, I wish I did this years ago. My hair quit falling out almost immediately, and my skin is really soft, bcuz oil production started on my face again. And all the weird inflammation pain in my abdomen has gone completely. My body feels like it did in highschool. He's just an arse. That's all. I hope you continue working out. It will do you much better than any boob job out there. Or a dudes that are "skin-deep", for that matter.

Everyone is putting this on the guy but I went through this personally when I started lifting heavy. Clothes stopped fitting right. Like pretty much all clothes. Before everyone jumps into comment, unless you look like a full Crossfit Top 20 woman, you don't know what I am talking about and this doesn't apply to you. But I did look like them. And I did struggle with just liking how I looked in general. It made me stop. Despite being insanely good at it. I hate that more. If it keeps you from living a healthy lifestyle, and you can get around this one aspect, why not go around that?

Thank you for taking this moderate approach to your explant journey! I personally haven’t experienced any symptoms of BII, however I was overwhelmed when I saw the diversity of symptoms on the list of those associated with BII, and this cult behind them making me feel like I just have some. I feel as though it could mentally manifest symptoms or cause unrelated conditions to be attributed to one’s breast implants. I’m happy with mine. I’m happy you are happy without yours! To each there own! It’s good to stay educated, aware, and a tiny bit skeptical ❤️

Great video. I'm gonna share my story about my breast augmentation. I got my implants 3 months ago. I was always really insecure of my boobs since I was almost flat and wide set and I really hated looking at them and even letting anyone look at me made me very uncomfortable. I was considering getting the surgery for years and my parents were really supportive and even paid for it, which I'm really thankful for. Rigth after my surgery I started having doubts but I tried to be patient with the recovery and not judge them right away since it takes a good few months for a final result. After my 3 month post consultation my doctor said they're pretty much 100% now. I'm not really happy with them, I was excited at first but now all I see is two balls strapped on my chest. Don't get me wrong, my ps did a good job but they just don't feel like mine. Even tho it's a modest size I feel like they're big on me and since I had no breast tissue I think any size would result in a not so natural look to begin with. Also, I hate how I can feel them move whenever my muscle contracts and they feel heavy and make me hunch. Overall, they just look and feel foreign to me and feel like I won't find peace until they're out of my body. Thinking about having to explant makes me really scared of the result but I feel like even exchanging to a smaller implant won't change how I feel about them. I just don't want implants. I'm torn about making my parents pay for another surgery after I've put them through all this. I can't help but feel guilty and depressed every day. Do you think I should just give them time and wait for the 6 month mark to see if I change my mind on them and see if my muscle flex thing gets any different? Am I judging too early? All I know is since getting the surgery I didn't get the confidence boost I was expecting and realized maybe I should have worked on loving myself instead and I could have easily gone with living with small boobs for the rest of my life.

If after 6 months they still feel foreign and make you uncomfortable and depressed then absolutely get them removed! Life is too short to deal with depression when there is a clear solution. As someone who suffers daily with depression and not knowing why or how to easily fix it I definitely suggest the explant if you are still feeling depressed. How long to wait is a tricky one...if they are so bad that it makes you suicidal DO NOT WAIT. Tell someone you're close to what's going on. Research if Implant Illness can cause depression and talj to a Dr and figure out if that's what is going on, then maybe it will be easier for family to be understanding. Either way depression shouldn't be taken lightly. Do what you feel in your heart is right for you.

Sounds like you just need to get used to them. It can be weird to go from no boobs to boobs. That's how I felt when I was pregnant and after I had the baby. I permanently went from an A to a large B and 7 years later I'm used to them.

I think you should get rid of them... and focus on your mental and physical health first to get a clearer picture of what you want before putting a foreign object into your body again that might potentially cause issues. Having no implants naturally has no risk, but having implants has risk. Personally imo I would never want to put anything foreign into my body I don't need for health at all. I understand how you feel bad for your parents ( i feel that way too but on other things I spend money on like healthcare for my chronic pain) but ultimately you can see it as an learning experience that helped you realise the things in your life you need to work on. If your parents are understanding I think it will be ok whatever decision you make. Or you can try to earn your own money and pay for the things you want. I think waiting for 6 months is also ok, but follow your gut feeling, and make your final decision from the right reasons that is good for your health

You just told my story. I kept mine for 5 years having them removed in 2018, they recovered well & I have never regretted getting those foreign objects out of me. Like you, they didn't feel like me, like mine, I didn't feel I was living my authentic life. I wish you well.

Hey Keltie, just as a heads up (not sure if it was intentional) there's a short blank space between transitions at 17:39 for about 10secs. Thank you for this video though, it was such an honest, caring, thought provoking take on these surgeries and the pros/cons. I'm glad you feel better and more authentic to yourself ❤️

Keltie, thank so much for taking us on your journey and being so open about it. One of the results of my healthy and weight loss journey was, that my boobs shrinked so much. So I was wondering, if I should get my boobs done, but there was always those thoughts in my head: what if you don't like them or why stressing your body with a surgery when you are perfectly healthy? And your journey assures me, that fake boobs are not for me. I already don't like the feeling of push up bras, how uncomfortable will I feel with fake boobs and those you can't even take off, when you want. So, I stay happy with my little figs and just embrace the woman that I am. Thank you for that reminder.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Super proud of you for taking a stand for what YOU want and going there. I love how you address why you got them in the first place. Ugh, why do we thinking things will help us get us somewhere in life… hahaha I have caught this mentality in myself so often. If I have this, this is happen for me. It’s so far from the truth. I love your amazing videos and I think this is one of my favs!

Thank uuuu for sharing this. Being really active I have a small chest too and went as far as getting consults but didn’t follow through. There are too many cons and really would hate to not be able to work out through “recovery” 😂 anyways I hope I learn to accept my body like you have 🌸

Thank you for making this video 💜 I also am a member of the itty bitty titty committy, and I have looked into possibly getting implants one day. I come from a family of women who are all larger chested, and so I felt very out of place as I was coming of age. My grandmother told me I'd never grow and compared me to a stick and an ironing board. Last year ago I got into yoga after years of not feeling athletic, graceful or beautiful in my body, and having the narrative pushed that I am clumsy an not graceful. I now LOVE moving my body. I'm actually getting stronger arms just from yoga. I looked in the mirror one day as I put my hair up and said, "holy shit I have muscles!" Because I'm petite, I can wear long line bras as crop tops, pop in an extra bra pad and whalaah I feel beautiful and strong in a sports bra! As I get into my late 20s my body weight has shifted, and i have grown into my body a little bit more. I think us smaller women just need to find clothes that embrace our body types. As much as we are told that being thin was praised for years, it was always pushed to have an hourglass figure, the proportions just changed. It is very much pushed that we should have curves to be perceived as a real woman, that if we don't then we look like a child. I say fuck that. I look like a grown ass woman ☺️

Thank you for sharing your story. I had mosquito bites as a teenager, I got pregnant at 17 and my breasts blew up to C-cups. After stopping breastfeeding, my breasts deflated. I thought about getting a boob job but after some research, I decided not to. That was 10 years ago and I've never looked back. I'm Northeast Asian so a lot of my friends from the same ethnicity have small boobs and have gotten boob jobs and I never told them this but I think it looks terrible. I have a couple of black belts and my natural small A cups I have get in my way of combat sports. I can't imagine what it'd be like with bigger breasts.

On the flip side, I semi-seriously considered getting breast reduction surgery because I found my natural boobs annoying. I've stopped considering surgery but I still find them kind of annoying sometimes. Bottom line: Lots of us are unhappy with our boobs for a variety of reasons, partly because society wants us to feel like we're not good enough. /rant over Side note: I hope you're considering doing another stretching update - that series gives me the feels!
