The door can be made using half of the mechanism, instead of having one clutch-gearshift per door side you could have used one, forked the output and inverted one of the outputs. Rotational power distribution is easier than redstone distribution. Seeing Ilmango go through the create enginnering learning stages is very interesting, I hope he considers using the mod in the future for a differnt series.

I'd love to see a scicraft create season. Maybe they can work out a sponcership deal some year. Them, and the create team, sponcered by somebody, to advertise them in every episode, and run a server for a season. In the meantime? There's a one block solution for that entire process, isn't there? Isn't that what the programable block is basically for? "turn at this speed for this time, then stop for this time, then turn at a different speed (backwards) for this time, and then stop?"

@desmondk-o7148 10 ай бұрын
@@ICountFrom0 I think he actually mentions this briefly in the episode, the problem with electron tubes is actually getting the paper for sandpaper to polish it, he has the redstone and halite (basically salt, and what ATFC uses instead of quartz; I think you can even make vanilla quartz blocks out of it for building) to make rose quartz, but he needs papyrus or sugar cane to make paper, and he didn't want to go down the whole rabbithole of that

If you ever need to place dirt or other gravity affected blocks and have them not fall in the future, instead of filling all air gaps you can also use a wooden support underneath.

@@fdagpigj @yorick257 actually yes you can, if you mean sawing logs into lumber then crafting into planks. You are correct, they aren’t affected by gravity and I’ve used them (and you can see mango use them earlier on in the series) as a block to place wooden supports on. Supports are technically cheaper though and provide an area of support rather than the single block, but depending on the situation, planks can be preferable.
@fdagpigj
@fdagpigj 11 ай бұрын
@@ethanallred2543 I assumed Yourick257 was referring to lumber. The pre-1.8 versions of TFC had built in mini blocks (1:8 scale) and one lumber (ie. one singular plank, if you set aside the name and just look at the item sprite) could be placed as a 1x1x8 line.

You should make something to make depth in the walls of the barn, the depth is what makes the steel bars look good. If you replace the wooden planks with logs (one block to the outside) it will look al lot better, as if they were supports.

dirt falling: if the dirt is supported from two or more sides (plus one from below) it won't fall . . . but if it is supported from less than two sides it will fall apart. also, they can destroy slabs and slabs aren't considered as a supporting block (probably only a full blocks counts) . . . the reason why it was holding together at 24:26 and was falling apart at 24:13 wasn't because you added those slabs, but because you placed those two dirt rows in different order . . . it can save you from a giant collapse and create structure destruction . . . . yes, it happened to me

Raw stone ought to be obtainable by some sort of cake-cutter quarry. Step 1: punch out a checkerboard pattern 1 block deep into a smooth (or not) surface. Step 2: insert behind this checkerboard and slice out the entire layer behind this checkerboard. This should break all the stone into items. Step 3: advance 2 blocks with the whole rig, including both sub-rigs.
