I see your heat shield wrap on the fuel rail. Was thinking of doing something similar for mine as I was getting heat soak after I shut the engine off after a long climb in the mountains. Had to wait 20 minutes for thing to cool before she fired up and ran normal again.

The heat wrap has helped a lot but I still get heatsoak sometimes. I'm planning on modifications to my hood to eliminate heat completely but time and money are not around right now.

@@nextweeksadventure I've heard installing a manual override switch for the e-fan that you can leave running for a few minutes after shutdown eliminates the heat soak problem.

@@aaronerickson8878 I've heard that does help and I've thought about it. I've also been looking into adding a return line to tank like modern cars have. Or modify a hood with a cowl and fan. Possibilities are endless just need to decide what I want to do.

I’m switching out my mount on a 2000 xj. The nuts are missing on the studs of the mounts that attach it to the Jeep. Do you know what size nuts I need?

If it's the studs on the mount itself just take the mount to a hardware store and size it up. It will be Metric but I'm not exactly sure on size. Or If you have a tap n die set use the thread pitch gauge and size it up.

how did you know the motor mounts were bad? or just doing them preventive maintenance?

267k miles on the rig. I figured maybe the og owner put a set on it at some point. For the price I just decided to go ahead and toss a set on. But the motor did have a noticeable amount of torque movement when bliping the throttle which is also a sign.

On a lifted 2.5” daily wj with 245/75 maybe 265/70r16 max tire. Do you think it’s worth filling the new motor mounts with polyurethane. I’ve seen other people do this but I don’t know if it will be too rough for a daily.

It would be a cheaper alternative to solid mounts but I like the cruisability of a properly done light lift wj but any kind of death wobble situation just a few times if you Keep driving it wrecks rubber oem bushings.
