What if the filter housing cap is broken and cannot allow you to remove the filter?

Be careful with the plastic cap, the little tabs are easy to break when you’re rotating the new filter in.

Mine looks exactly like your except mine doesn't have that push button, what do I do? Am I supposed to just pull it out then?

The new grilled mounted water filter in my Kenmore Fridge is always dry and the push button release is very very hard to push to release it. Why would my filter be dry all the time?

The filter used to slide out just that easily but slowly over time... extracting it more and more difficult. Now holder unit going to be replaced complete (by hubby) as the last (bleep bleep) filter isn't coming out no-how.. We would normally change it out every 3 mos but I guess we're good with this one awhile longer while we search for a new filter holder unit.

hey will do everything they can to explain themselves but when I press in a completely new filter then the water will not go and if I press a little then the water goes thanks in advance

I am not able to push my filter all the way in. The push button on the left side does not do anything. What can I do?
