What Campea fails to publicly acknowledge is that the studios are wealthy and upper class whereas most writers are not. In terms of health, livelihood, and long-term career opportunities, this is way harsher for the writers than the producers. The difference between the WGA taking this approach the studios are if they could versus the studios doing what their doing right now is that the studios have millionaires and billionaires on their side. It would be SIGNIFICANTLY harder to find ways to “starve them out” then it is for a bunch of workers who are barely getting by when it comes to being a writer. So, sure, maybe the WGA would do the same thing if they could. It would also be so much harder for them to actually succeed at it.

I don't know every in and out if this or every detail BUT! my understanding is that what the writers are asking for relatively speaking really isn't asking a lot. So as much as I love my TV & movies. The studios can stick it where the sun don't shine. This is ridicules and I hope at the end of the day studios are the ultimate losers in this scenario.

I have gone to lunch in my area a number of times in the past couple of weeks and have seen the utter lack of workers in restaurants. I have been thinking about this for a minute. I am 50 and when I was in my twenties and early thirties restaurants were some of the best jobs because of they paid better than most labor jobs and they were relatively secure. I know there are not less people, so why less workers? I believe that people are realizing that for them to have a decent life you need less money. Finding multiple income streams is about as easy as finding a decent low wage job. If writers were already having to find multiple income streams the need to go back to working for studios lessens. As there are more opportunities to make money from your own work increases the less there is a desire to deal with all the other issues with working with big studios. Artists will find each other, and great art will return just not from the big studios.

Marvel Shows on Disney Plus Face Criticism as CEO Bob Iger Claims Dilution of MCU Brand In a recent statement, Bob Iger, CEO of Disney Studios, expressed his belief that Marvel shows on Disney Plus have diluted the brand of Marvel's Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, many fans strongly disagree with this assessment, citing the success of early Disney Plus shows like "WandaVision," "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier," and "Loki." These shows garnered widespread praise for their excellent writing, cinematography, talented actors, and skillful direction. "WandaVision" captivated fans right from the start, blending magic and realism while exploring themes of heartbreak and loss. Elizabeth Olsen's portrayal of Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, was hailed as amazing and resonant with audiences. Similarly, "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and "Loki" found substantial success, further solidifying the popularity of Marvel shows on the streaming platform. However, some argue that the subsequent Marvel shows on Disney Plus began to falter. While there were fans who enjoyed "Hawkeye," it didn't achieve the same level of success as its predecessors. On the other hand, "Moon Knight" brought back the excitement with a stellar performance by Oscar Isaac, who perfectly embodied the multifaceted character of Moon Knight. The storytelling, highlighting the different sides of Moon Knight's personality, left fans craving for more. Nevertheless, the reception to "Ms. Marvel" was mixed, with many fans finding the show overly childish. Additionally, the decision by Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, to make Ms. Marvel a mutant instead of an Inhuman, as she was in the comics, disappointed some fans. They felt it was a missed opportunity to introduce mutants into the MCU more directly, given the fandom's long-standing love for the X-Men. The first on-screen iteration of She-Hulk received considerable criticism from fans. While Tatiana Maslany's performance as She-Hulk was widely praised, the show's writing was deemed subpar and excessively silly. While MCU fans appreciate humor and chaos, they felt it was misplaced and undermined the character's potential. Turning to the films, "Black Widow" faced criticism for its delayed release, leaving some fans feeling that it came out years too late. Furthermore, replacing the original Black Widow with her sister in the MCU was seen by a portion of the fanbase as distasteful. They argued that if the original character was to be killed off, there was no need for a replacement that felt like a lesser version. Regarding "Eternals," fans enjoyed the film but found it difficult to understand where it fit within the larger MCU narrative. And in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," many fans were disappointed with how Wanda, the Scarlet Witch, was portrayed as a delusional and maniacal woman willing to harm others to be with her children from an alternate reality. This portrayal seemed disconnected from the character's growth in "WandaVision." Sam Raimi's statement that he hadn't watched "WandaVision" and the revelation that the head writer of "Doctor Strange 2," Michael Waldron, only saw parts of the series, further frustrated fans. They believed that this lack of familiarity with the show led to a disparagement of Wanda's character in the film. Another point of contention has been the lack of steady connection between the Marvel shows and films. Initially, Feige suggested that watching the shows was not essential, but as fans discovered interconnected storylines, they were left frustrated by the inconsistent continuity. Acknowledging these concerns, Bob Iger stated that Disney would slow down the production of Marvel shows and films, reducing expenditure. However, fans argue that the perceived dilution of the MCU brand stems from issues with writing and creative choices in certain Disney shows and films rather than the quantity of content released. As the possibility of reduced Marvel content looms, fans are left contemplating their feelings. Would they be content with fewer shows and films? It remains to be seen how this potential shift in production will impact the fanbase and the future of the Marvel brand. Snippet from article I’m writing🥰🥰🥰

Well, at this point, the writers' strike has gone on for so long that everyone is desperate. Something has to be done, and the producers and the writers don't even want to talk to one another anymore. This is messed up! Now, everything has gotten to the point where someone has to talk to the producers about this whole thing, and I never thought that it would get to this point, but it has to be one of us. It won't be anyone from the WGA, and it surely won't be anyone else who's working in Hollywood, either. It has to come from the people who are watching the movies and the shows because without us, everyone in Hollywood would be out of work.

If you have too many writers in the writers room, it can also hurt the quality of the product, so having a minimum number of writers required is a bad idea, they should just be able to hire the needed amount of writers, as they have been doing rather than be forced to hire more writers than necessary
