I used Lucas on every vehicle I had and that stuff works

I am using the synthetic version of Lucas oil stabilizer in my 0W-20 engine, Japanese made vehicle. Started adding this stuff at 35.000 miles and currently have 45.000 miles on the car. During warm summer season I couldn't feel any difference, but once the temps dipped bellow 15F the difference was so obvious to the point where I don't even need to plug engine heater overnight since it starts as if it was still summer. The secret with engines younger than 2016 is to only add 5% instead of full 20% into your crankcase and even at such small amount it will make a difference and slick up the engine while helping avoid dry starts. Amazing stuff if you use it smartly.

I had a 2011 Kia with a spun rod bearing but only made knocking noises when it was hot and the oil got thin, so i put in 2 quarts Royal purple 30w & 2 quarts Lucas oil stabilizer.....stopped the noise 95% & its now 17k miles later the car is running like a champ

Lucas does a good job of improving oils characteristics, particularly conventional oil. It does add additional lubricants that stay on the internal engine parts longer to reduce the instances of dry starts. It can help condition gaskets to seal leaks. One thing it and other additives such as STP, Bars Leak No Leak etc. also do is increase an oil's viscosity level which is a side to help sealing leaks. If you have 5W20 and add one of the additives, you may end up with more of a 10W30 viscosity after adding these products because they are quite thick. Keep this in mind when you are wanting to add aftermarket oil additive products. Personally, if the engine is an older engine with over 150,000 miles, this shouldn't be a problem but if you are using a product in a newer engine, I'd suggest using Lucas Synthetic oil stablizer over their conventional product. It is a much thinner product and won't have such a huge effect on viscosity. Remember, the newer engines have tighter tolerances than older engines to increase fuel economy and last longer, so you still need to get the oil inside and between parts. Many new vehicles require 0w20, including the new GM 1500 Silverado/Sierra with the 5.3L engine. You don't want to increase viscosity in those engines.

I have used the super tech oil stabilizer. Similar to Lucus. In small engine and it helped with older lawnmower to stop smoking ( 4oz oil, 16oz oil) and worked great. Recently in a 2001 maxima with 209k miles added 1 bottle, and rest 10w30 oil. It ran smoother and seems to had more power, yah it has a rear main seal leak. Cost too much to fix. Let’s see. How well it is . The maxima is just for around town for my 17 year old son. It always starts. Transmission is going on think, it’s a bad TCC solenoid . But did a ATF flush ( 3 drain and fill with few thousand miles between). And it’s a lot better (additives I did use , Lucus trans fix & seafoam trans tune). ATF I used was valvoline maxlife synthetic ATF. Compatible with Nissan fluid.

I have a Scion about to tick over 300k and it was drinking oil, I switched to full synthetic and swapped a quart out with the low viscosity stabilizer. The engine is noticeable quieter on start up and is burning oil at about a 3rd of the previous rate. Couldn't be happier

Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer is a good product. I have used it in a healthy engine and it does quiet it down, but at the same time, I did feel my engine slightly more sluggish when driving normally. Nothing insanely slow but there is a barely noticeable difference. I do like lucas in high performamce applications. It was a great feeling using it in high rpm applications and it made my car run very good. Maybe if you have a poor running engine with oil consumption issues, blow by and a knock it would help. I am the type of person who has mixed feelings of Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer. I don't hate lucas but I dont like it either. I don't advise to not buy it, I just tell people to give it a try. Obviously use it as directed. If your engine operates healthy, give it a try and see if you like it but it's not necessary. If it has a knock, then definitely use it. If you have a high mileage car with 100,000+ miles that runs healthy, give it a shot or use a high mileage oil with the same viscosity the engine calls for. In high performance, it works good, but a normal oil would work just fine in most cases. I don't hate Lucas but it is not necessary in some cases. Great video.

I have a 1999 VW Jetta that I bought for $500 a while ago. The guy hit the oil pan in a gas station he parked it at his home and sold it to me 2 months later I have used this product in the past on other vehicles I've owned. And have had wonderful reviews I tested it out this month and it sounds amazing no knocks ticks or anything but quiet engine noise the regular sounds. I'm very happy and I buy mine at Wal-Mart for $9 a bottle here in Virginia. It is ok to pour more than it says but when you do that make sure on every oil change up until the 3rd than you can just use 20 percent then after. Have your engine running for 45 mins to an hour if you only need more also it does 3x's better when you do the oil change pour the lucas in first than do your oil after hand I'd start out with 30-40 percent for the first 3 oil changes and than 20 percent after hand. I have been told this stuff is really bad for cars with hydraulic lifters anybody hear that as well? Especially the hemi engines from chrysler.
