The One Finger Death Punch 2 demo is out and I wanted to share some words regarding it and the touchpads on the Steam Controller.

That's actually a really cool idea and I hope I remember this if I run into a game that would benefit from it. It's easy to forget they can function as single buttons when they are more often used as d-pad and camera controls.

i use the trackpad buttons for superfighters deluxe, a (difficult) 2D action game. It can certainly be an unrealistically huge step up from normal buttons

Agreed. A long while ago I tried DmC (the Ninja Theory one) with touch face buttons out of curiosity and I fell in love. I know it's not for everyone but it's certainly a lot better than most users give it credit for.

Mmm🤔? I found it easier to use the triggers & the finger grips for One Finger DP. But I never thought about using the touch pads, IDK why. I'll give it a try, but feel like I'm bound to a constant slip up, & accidentally touch the pads. Thanks Critical, I had no idea they were working on or releasing a Sequel.

I love the Single Button style on the pads and use it is often as I can. If a game doesn't require camera control and has a jump button then it goes on right pad touch every time. I'm sure it takes some getting used to but I've been doing it this way for years and it feels great. And yeah, this sequel snuck up on me too. I had no clue it was even in production and I lost my mind when I read that a demo was out.
