I work in healthcare. Every once in a while, I have the unwelcomed experience of performing barium enemas, and I don't get sick. Story 1 made me throw up in nothing flat. Kudos to mom for making her son face the consequences but goddamn that was a gnarly experience

I, too, have seen what happens when someone unwittingly gulps down a bottle of Chewing Tobacco spit... It was a girl at a Dive Bar who was asking one of my friends to buy her a beer ALL NIGHT. He continued to tell her "No." and remained incredibly polite about it for the entire night. Finally, she had the "brilliant" idea to run up to the table me and my friends were sitting at, grab a beer from the table, and just guzzle it right there on the spot. Apparently, she was unaware of the fact that my friend (the one she had been bothering all night) had stopped drinking for about 45 minutes to an hour, and was instead using his beer bottle to spit his Chewing Tobacco into! Guess which bottle she grabbed? And trust me, she got down AT LEAST one Full Gulp! When it hit her that it was NOT beer... well, I won't be too gross, but it involved A LOT of Projectile Vomiting (of various colors! 😄), and an equal amount of screaming, as well as people running and trying to get away from her. It was awful, and while I did feel bad for her, she shouldn't have done what she did. I think she more than paid for her mistakes, and I sincerely doubt she will EVER drink something that isn't hers again.

Now that im hearing this again years later, im starting to understand story 1. The mom probably saw him spitting in the cup and, very tiredly just said "to hell with it, let him learn the hard way!" And let him fuck around and find out

The first story reminded me of something that happened a while back, pre-covid. My dad does the same and one day, he was spitting into a styrofoam cup from a gas station and would put the lid and straw back on it when he was done. My older sister didn’t know what was in it and decided to take a sip. I don’t really remember what happened after that but my mom absolutely blew up on my dad. I still laugh about it today.

Just like the first story, I’ve had a similar experience. My dad chewed when I was a kid. He started making a habit of finishing off my cans of soda so he could spit in the can. He then proceeded to leave them right where I had them. It took me two times to no longer trust a can that had been out of sight.

This story reminds me of a joke I pulled on our production supervisor. We had these blue cups with the company logo on them. They were all identical. He used his for a snuff spit cup. I passed by his desk, picked up his cup, acted like I was about to drink it, and said, “Oh, there’s my coffee!” The look on his face was priceless.

Lmao, something like the first story happened to me as a kid. We were having a party with the neighbors, and my mom had been smoking outside and talking with our neighbor. She was dumping her ash in a cup when I sat down with her. I just thought it was a drink so I drank out of it and got a mouthful of cigarette ash.

The last story is one of the worst stories I've ever heard. It made me so emotional to think that this person, who was grieving from the loss of their significant other ,was so blatantly disrespected and ridiculed for no reason. I was honestly tearing up partly from sadness and rage. I can't imagine what they felt in that situation.

That last story heavily reminded me of my grandma's death, where two years later we were still in court with my aunt, who wanted to get her share of my grandma's money (which my grandma explicitly said she would not get)

With that first story, as soon as op said "I chew tobacco" I immediately knew where the story was going. (My dad chews and told me how he thought his spit bottle was his water bottle because he just woke in the dark with his throat dry).

As someone who's dad spits in soda bottles. There is nothing worst than expecting doctors pepper, and getting met with chew. I now always turn a soda bottle to see if their any chew at the bottom

so i was a touring musician for about 7 years, my drummer regularly used snuff, we carried plastic bottles of coke regularly (both to drink and mix with whiskey when at bars.) anyhow, our van had two cup holders in the front center console near the radio. while driving i reached down to grab my drink not paying attention and grabbed the wrong bottle. i've driving an 18 passenger E350 turtle top diesel van with an 8 foot tall, 5 foot wide, 12 foot long trailer. i've just swallowed a mouthful of snuff spit. immediately gagging and instinct wants to slam brakes (would cause a jacknife) and i fight it, working my way over three lanes while four other people die of laughter at me.
