Do you have to take anything off other then trany to motor bolts out to get it out if it’s standard or does it just slip out ?

I was willing to fix my washer sensor cliaming a false reading of low washer fluid on my speedometer but this is a bit above my pay grade. I also want to change out my fuel gage but ifnd I'd have to remove the gas tank and may as well inspect my fuel pump and filters while down there. a bit re;luctant for that too, but I don't trust local mechanics either!

Found a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 · ST Pickup 2D 6 1/4 ft w/ 203k mi for $5k. Sounds too high for that old and 1/5th million miles. Motivated seller. May just offer $2500 and see what happens.

No you can not you would have to drop a new transmission into it

No. You would need the ECU, and the TCU from the donor vehicle as well. Then likely have to have it reflashed.

can you bolt up any other motor to that 6 speed?

I hear you can mate a 4.7 to the getrag 238 which I want to do.

4.7L and from research they will bolt up to the 5.7L hemi as well...

I have this same truck and the clutch goes out in that tranny alot
