Racer X Garage Episode 63: Time to get the engine bay cleaned up in B-Split our 1970 C10 Custom! Starting with the valve covers, I'll show you my process on spiffing them up a bit! Elbow grease, brake clean, primer and paint is the recipe for looking sharp!

@@RacerXGarage Hello. I am returning the sprayed lid. There is a rubber seal. Should I put silicone? Originally there was silicone between the seal and the lid. It wasn't between the gasket and the engine. I'm from Europe and there are no such cars here, that's why I have to ask like this. Thank you.

@@martin971 It's been two months since your comment so I assumed you made something work, but I would suggest you search online and find the specific cork gasket needed for your covers, and use that. Make sure that the mating surface is clean. When attaching the valve cover, make sure that there is a tight seal between the cover and the gasket, and after a few drives in the vehicle, make sure to go back and re-tighten the bolts, as the gasket will have 'broken-in' after a few drives.
