Y'know, I gotta admit, though I know your pfp isn't Mr. House from New Vegas with proper inspection, the main color overlay keeps reminding me of that crazy old guy. He lives at the front of the Strip, not the end, and he's the one actively trying not to interact with most of the public...but I bet you his mailman can beat any of Amazon's!

Ah. That explains my parents can't parent. Because the school forced the recorder on me and my mother didn't let me play it and threatened to snap it in half and make me pay for it if I were to play it.

Other good options include kazoos, drum kits, and glitter grenade's... What? It's a device that dispenses glitter upon contact, so logically speaking, if I threw it hard enough, it'll shoot glitter everywhere. Thus, glitter grenade. (This is the reasoning I am dragged around shopping for kids, because I frankly raise valid reasonings as to why you shouldn't buy kids x items, and not even in the safety department, just in the new creative ways to ruin a house way)

I think that some people are just destined to become Dads, and the Dad-ness starts manifesting in their soul before their kids even exist. You know how in the Twilight books Jacob imprints on Bella's daughter, and it's kind of retroactively explained that the reason he was so into Bella was because he was destined to love Renesmee and thus was attached to Bella because he could instinctively sense that she would give birth to Renesmee one day before anyone was even sure that was going to happen? It's like that but with being a dad.

Noooo! They bought a _german_ recorder!! You really want an explanation? Ok. *_Soprano_* recorders come in two styles, Baroque and German. German style was developed in the _1920s_ because of a misguided notion to make the instrument _that has existed for hundreds of years_ easier to teach. It allows for an easy C major scale, but makes other notes less intuitive. All the other sizes of recorder are pretty exclusively Baroque style. So this person is has locked themselves into listening to one of the most piercing children's instruments, when they could have just bought their child a chuffy tin whistle. Or an alto recorder, if the kid can stretch their fingers. Or a ukulele. Or a kalimba. You have so many options. I love that they acknowledge they've heard _good_ recorder music. It exists. Most people don't dare look for it. ...Aaaannnd a hint for the newbie. Give a normal, satisfied, sigh into the instrument. If you're using more than that to start, it's too much air. And just... just get a Yamaha or Aulos brand. They're cheap to start, reasonable quality, and you can swab them. You can even throw the YRS-24B in the dishwasher and it'll be fine.
