Was looking for tai chi to help ease my depression. Just found these vids and I want to thank you because they're easy to follow for a lay person like me, who's doing this for the first time. Still getting mixed up with the breath (out and in) but I expect I'll get it right with practice. Thank you very much, Leia!

I've learned more quickly off these lessons than I did off a tai chi practitioner in China. I like the laid back manner and practical attitude that it doesn't need to be perfect, just do it and feel better. By closely mimicking the movements of somebody who is obviously very proficient at it, the student should also, given time, be reasonably good too. If I follow this course closely enough, any Chinese person who sees me will hopefully think, Hey that foreigner knows tai chi. Not that looking cool is a good reason to do it, but a celebrity chef who impresses local people by acing their local cuisine, must feel quite good about it. A bit of an ego boost is also healthy for the mind so thanks on quite few different levels.

For various reasons I didn't do any tai chi practice for 4 days, got back into last night, and you are right, I really noticed the difference in my emotional/mental well being having not done it, as soon as I did, I felt so grounded and amazing. Take now for instantce, before this I had a headache and wanted to sleep, now the headache has eased off, and I have a bit more energy about it, and I'm feeling very calm. Thank you thank you

New subscriber. I love how easy it is to remember the moves because they have a reference like hug the tree or caress the moon. #100daychallenge starts today! 🙏

What 100 day challenge are you talking about?

@@LoriJablon I think he means on the first mod she makes mention of 100 days to break bad habits and 100 days to make new ones. So I gather matt like I have taken it on board as a challenge to change our old armchair sitting to learning tai chi for fitness of mind and body.
