Great tip for the hip correction! I'd also say that you need to practice being in full hip extension as early as possible, because a bad hip position can make you compensate in this region & create some nasty footballer tendinopathy (talking from experience). Make sure to work on your glutes strength & activation. A cue that i started implementing recently & that works well is to extend your body maximally, pulling the balls of your feet in front of you as much as you can. (btw the correct leg position in FL is legs in external rotation for glute activation, and toes towards you, open feet, for better quad activation which will connect with the glutes to help you straighten the legs & hips, yes duck feet is goals)

Why would duck feet be beneficial? You can def activate glutes and PPT with pointed toes, ankles touching, ie squeeze legs together same as planche.

@@JamieVegan8 for hip external rotation which is a main movement of glutes. Also the correct activation in FL is APT and not PPT (basically arching oyur body as much as you can). Pointed toes is better for planche tho as you aim to have a nice PPT, unlike FL. I've found my feet to fall naturally in pointed position when i don't think about them in FL stuff, which correlates to it being a compensation somehow

I think I was at least at a solid advanced tuck FL and possibly already doing full front lever negatives when I first tried INVERTED DEADLIFTS. It was really easy and I didn't feel it was that challenging to do. Probably good for people struggling with tuck to advance tuck. With full front lever negatives, I eventually was able to stop at full for a second or 3 fairly clean and then banana back. I got ankle weights to use for front lever negatives, 5lbs each leg (also I wear my shoes when I use ankle weights).....never mind even being able to slow the descent, I couldn't even straighten out inverted lol. Could not hold one leg out, one leg tucked. Could hold advance tuck, but much more difficult and I was struggling. No ankle weight, shoes off, I could go 45+ seconds no problem. Then I started doing inverted deadlifts with ankle weights and it was extremely challenging to do. This is just with 5lbs per leg and shoes on and been doing it for 4-6 training sessions. Today I just got my 11lbs per leg ankle weights and ya, could not straighten out inverted. Struggled to even get to inverted Try doing inverted deadlifts and front lever negatives with ankle weights

Hey man, Nice cues there, really quality video. Could you make a video for weighted calisthenics and programming? And also, i face a problem in my front lever work. When i try to descend from inverted hang to FL my hips in straddle half lay/full half lay, i end up dropping them to adv tuck. Does that mean i have to do more holds with adv tuck? or work on hip mobility? Or do single leg half lay/full?

dunno if this is will help, but I had the same problem, so the secret tip or atleast what worked for me to get the front lever is doing 90% of my training with bands in the full front lever, its really specific(which will give good progress) if you place the band on your lower back.

Different methods but basically make the movement harder l, e.g front lever against a resistance band so it’s harder, ankle weights, and work on harder variations like wide front lever. There are also other methods like rest pause
