@richebronsonify
@richebronsonify 5 жыл бұрын
Most cases are solved by the people who know the victim. The cops/detectives just put the info together. That’s the reason stranger on stranger crime is so hard to solve, and why serial killers who kill strangers are able to operate for decades before being caught. Basically all of our modern technology does is confirm.. such as DNA. Without someone to apply the DNA to, it’s worthless.
@kari7403

@@richebronsonify Haha. Sorry, I just had to say how much I love you screen name. It's awesome. Oh, and I don't mean to come off as creepy, (and certainly hope I don't end up sounding creepy.) but, I just wanted to also mention how pretty you are. (Assuming thats you, in the lil KZfaq pic.) Also, I have to agree with you on what you had said. Investigators just piece together what the public tell them, amd then confirm it with the technology. Only, now that they are using the genealogy data bases, sometimes they don't even have to get the info from the victim's families, if the killer left any DNA at the crime scene anyway. They just pop that in and see who's DNA pops up on their screens. But I'm sure they still gather all the info from people anyway, to help assure a solid case.

It blows my mind what people will do for money, murder someone, your spouse, and to carry on as though you weren't involved. Not just this case but others as well. They need to bring back hanging convicts. Dying in prison is too good for monsters who take someone else's life, or lives in this case.
@flackratchettheromperstomp8224

Good thinking, Lisa! We can decide to kill the killers so that they can understand that killing is wrong.... unless a court says to so it.... and certainly not when being paid to do so by the court itself (regardless of this mostly being a volunteered for position to find oneself in... not killing in THIS case though! )... In all honesty I find it fascinating how the people I've encountered so far in life that are adamantly vouching for the case of state sponsored/law directed/socially agreeable (in that particular situation with the particular facts the society is willing to accept as believable and only if the facts are agreed by that society to be utterly complete in their presentation by the authorities...nevermind the nearly COUNTLESS cases of well-crafted, long-hidden coverups perpetrated by those in charge of dispensing with agreed upon legislation for a variety of reasons each as selfish and corrupt as the last... EXCEPT for the "coverups" necessary to put away "the bad guys that got away with wrongdoing and/or even.MURDER AND KILLING-the absolutely WORST of crimes- unfairly" all righteous of course and only to "make sure justice is served "... in their opinion... or maybe not and only actually according to the currently presented narrative.... I'll stop. I'm sure you understand the point I'm endeavoring to (somewhat humorously I hope?) Simultaneously present fairly and with accompanying examples of totally believable and seemingly logic-based "facts" to go alongside them depending on whom you happen to choose to believe and support and sympathize with... also it is important for fairness to ultimately reign as the highest truth to be pursued and therefore the purest and harshest "consequence" that any individual ever feels entitled to mete out upon a fellow human being (regardless of their past, your perspective of their present and anyone's guess as to their future since we SHOULD all regard each other as equals and if we are honest I dont believe there are more than a very VERY rare scant few of us that can honestly say that if we were forced to deal with certain impossibly difficult, stressful, painful, seemingly endless perhaps dangerpus enough even to be considered potentially fatal situations not entirely of our current choosing to be forced to endure with no end in sight that we ourselves would act as virtuously as we pretend/ demand others should be regardless of the situation because that's just never acceptable.... I think the world would be a far more pleasant place if perhaps we got rid of what might appear to be ridiculous and arbitrarily assigned highly unfair attempts at judgement whenever we had to personally disagree morally or ethically or religiously -or whatever else might ultimately drive it- with someone else's decisions and instead endeavored with at least equal but hopefully even greater zeal to actually empathizing with all those around us, seek ever to understand each other better and ultimately seek to legitimately help each other reach ever more amazing lives not because it in any way can benefit us to do so but rather out of genuine desire to help others because everyone deserves to live their best, happiest, most fulfilling possible lives (so long as we strive to avoid infringing upon anyone else's lives and their ability to also do as much themselves with any part of our own pursuits.... Sorry if it's all over the place ha ha if I need to restate it let me know I swear my adhd gets the best of me sometimes and I ran out of adderall almost 3 months ago now and until I can find me a job again it is nowhere in my future ha ha

@@cruisepaige Yeah..... That Progressive ideal is idiotic. Regardless of gender, the first time your "partner" lays hands on you without your permission; that's on them. If you decide to stay, any subsequent abuse you get is completely on you. Don't care what you call it, your fault after the first time it happens and you decide to stay with them. I have one hard and fast rule for any of my romantic relationships: Zero tolerance on physical violence. If the person I'm with physically touches me in a violent way, I'm gone! Relationship over! No, we're not discussing it. Nothing _to_ discuss. I mention that rule whenever a relationship becomes serious. I need to know the person I'm with is trustworthy. And honestly, there's billions of people on this planet. I *will* find someone else with the same types of genitals you have. I'll find someone else with another warm body. And if they too become physically violent, I'll find someone else. Yes, it is that simple.

Thank you for presenting this. I’d never heard of Marie Grouès before, but what an appalling woman! Wikipedia tells me she wrote under the name of “Héra Mirtel” among others, a name by which she may be better known to some. She was also a “feminist” of the obnoxiously aggressive type. But that was part and parcel of her obnoxiousness altogether. She was a narcissist who imagined she could do anything she wanted without regard to anyone else. She treated her husbands like garbage, constantly cuckolding them. And when they got in the way of what she wanted, she murdered them. A complete psychopath, as other commentators have said here. It would be interesting to know what really happened with the guy who ended up shot in that Mexican hacienda--possibly another victim of hers--and what motive she might have had for killing him. And how about the Mexican guy said to have committed suicide after being rejected by her? This woman sure left a trail of bodies behind her!

It's lovely to hear Forgotten Lives in this video. Brief Case, your voice is excellent as well. Both of you seriously have some obscure and interesting individuals for the subject matter of your content. Their wickedness of heart is so evident in the photographs, I noticed. Still, everytime I listen it's a delightful treat.

Anytime they say that they didn't divorce their spouse despite hating them because divorce was frowned upon/ carried more stigma in their time, i just can't help but think that murdering people is pretty freaking frowned upon too. I don't know if I think it's something that they even considered lol too expensive maybe but I doubt they choose murder because Betty at church would whisper behind your back if you got divorced

Another great upload! I love your channel and I'm glad I subscribed. I know you usually do obscure cases but I've run across the few that I recognized from other types of TV shows and documentaries. That being said if you cover Albert Fish you may be surprised at the results of your investigation ^_^

Brief Case , you always dig cases from the past we didn't know. That's always interesting discovering why and how "some peculiar " people behaved in those years. I recently found that Marie's nephew ( her brother's son was Abbé Pierre, a very good person towards poor people, poverty. As an "Abbé" ( father ) Pierrre dedicated his life to others and created "Emmaeus" sort of Oxfam which still remains , where people can find a job, where people can buy an object after second or third hand. In 52, because of winter, he fought for people having a shelter. ( a film was made ) . I once heard on the radio that Father Pierre ( Abbé ) wanted to expiate his aunt's sins. More sincere feelings than a financially greedy killer member of his family. Abbé Pierre is well-known and beloved in France , before and after his death.

💯 props to you sir, for correctly pronouncing the volcano Popo. As a bilingual American who lived very near Popo for 4 years it's really hard to get all the syllables right!! I think it took me 3 of the 4 years I was there and by then I found out everyone just referred to it by Popo 🤣🤣🤣

Another great video!! Im working on viewing all the past ones!! Your just about the only true crime narrator that can pronounce foreign names & places (regardless of the country's origin) perfectly. Its important to know these stories of the past. While tragic in nature, we can learn from them & hopefully avoid some of these crimes in the future. As forensics & technologies advance you'd think future criminals would stop & think before executing any heinous acts as the odds of them being prosecuted & imprisoned for it grow higher & higher as each day passes.
