" Horrible humans exist throughout history." That's not exactly true. There were no Serial Killers as we know them today until 1870. Also, there were NO prisons nor organized police depts in Europe or America until after the late 1820's. Crime as we know it today never existed before the Industrial Revolution circa 1800. In was the first dark, crowded, Anonymous Society of the first Industrial Cities that spawned Crime as we know it. So Crime is as much about Horrible Capitalist Society as much as it is about Horrible Humans.

And that they existed way back then, and not just these days, is especially troubling for me. You want to think that we would have come farther by now, and it's heartbreaking to know that we haven't. We've only learned new and more disgusting ways to treat each other badly. A sweet little girl went to run an errand for her mother, like she probably had 100 times before, and lost her life to a monster. I guess that's timeless...

I like the way he says, "dead" or "died". The way he says it has such a finality to it. When I listen with my grandsons we always say it with him in that same way. My grandsons have a fascination with ghost stories, but these are shared as cautionary tales. I hated to have to tell my children that ,yes, monsters do exist, but they don't have fur & fangs. They look just like ordinary people. And unlike in their video games, there is only one life, we don't get to play again. Thank you for the videos! We look forward to them each week!

What a sad case. The police worked so hard with everything they had at the time. I'm impressed with how they were able to find her poor body and identified the monster. People are saying the Mom felt guilt, but probably not. Sending children out to run errands was normal. Up until the 1980s even. No one would have frowned at children out by themselves. That's a fairly new idea. I'm not so sure it's good either. No one would have asked Gizella's mom, "why did you send her out?" The focus would have been solely on the monster, like it should be.

In fairness, old-timey police were quite willing and able to do a lot of old-fashioned legwork, and when they did it well, on a large scale in and in organize fashion, it went a surprisingly long way.

I was thinking the same thing. The police did a really good job . I have also been impressed with the detective that doggedly sought out the crimes by H H Holmes. Considering few phones if any and taking the train and ferreting out information from residents. I often wonder if we would know as much today had he not been so diligent. As for sending kids out to the store. It is still done today. The neighborhood kids are always running errands for their parents. Or just riding their biked to the store for treats.

@@lyndawilliams4570 We're talking about a time when a 12yr old would work outside of the home. You were married and having kids in your teens. I think blaming the mom or assigning guilty feelings to her is wrong. It's not the parent's fault.

Cases of those children mentioned in video is the he reason why parents are scared to let kids run around by themselves a specially in big cities and it depends on time of the day. I don’t think anybody blamed the mother she sent the girl to shop in daytime like she probably done many times before & other parents did it. The mother might have felt guilty as part of grieving process...

I was a kid in the late 60’s and 70’s. There was a lot of killings in California then mostly southern and I lived in the north but my mom wouldn’t even let me walk home by myself. If my friends couldn’t walk with me then I had to wait in the office for her. Then I felt restricted but now I realized how she must have felt terror of her daughters being kidnapped or worst.

What a bizarre man that thrived on young children. A man from a well standing, wealthy family proves that any off spring may be ill equipped to live within society. Too bad his family did not force him into a facility as it could have saved Gizella her life and spared her family and loved ones. So sad for Gizella Schwarz as she was just starting her life.

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to Gizella, her family, and all victims of heinous and violent crimes. Each victim has been taken away from those that loved them unconditionally, and way, way too soon. The horrendous things that malevolent and disgusting people can do to another person is things that fuel our worst nightmares. My belief is that ANYONE that can take the life of a child DESERVES to be put to death in the same exact manner in which they had murdered their victim(s). These diabolical people do NOT deserve an iota of pity, sympathy or empathy. What these diabolical people do to a child, Satan wouldn't even do, or allow one of his minions to do to a child. May all the victims of heinous and violent crimes rest peacefully in their eternal slumbers.

I always think Guilt and regret, must eat some parents alive when they didn’t even do anything out of the ordinary, or wrong, maybe they meant it to be a good thing, like letting the child feel a little independent, or they gave in against their better judgement, when the child said, “I. can do it, let me go by myself” 100 times, as kids will. They even feel guilty when it’s adult kid of theirs living away from home because they feel they should have been there to protect them. 😔

Hi BC , poor little Gizelle , was good they found all of her , but it made me wonder why they didn’t find it the same day since it was so close to the torso, did he take it out later? Is sick and disturbing to kill a child but too cut them up is beyond vile! Thank you for sharing your research 🧐 Hope you have a Wonderful Week! ☮️🌺🐝safe🖖🏼🫶🏻

Hey BC and B Cat!😻😻 Another case of a psychopath thumbing his nose at justice by offing himself. It's as if it's part of the profile. Thanks for another really well researched and presented video. See you next week. 👍👍

Such a tragic story. How could someone do such horrible things so unreal. I’m checking out all of your stories. Some really crazy things happened back in those days! 😢 🖤

It's boggling how some killers actually get away for decades, some are never caught. It is a study within itself to distinguish the mentally disturbed from the whim killer. Then it makes you see the darkness within what in some cases is an average normal sort of person, and to add to this, the person no matter must live out their days knowing what they did...

You nailed it once again BC. It’s always tragic when a child is killed. This was a brutal murder or killing by the standards of any era. Who could kill a child?

It’s always a sad case on a child is killed or involved he had no right to take her life I’m sure her mother must’ve felt some kind of guilt after but the fact that it was daytime and still light outside and no one noticed baffles me a little bit more I tried to figure out if he kidnapped her or if she went willingly at any rate I was told as a child when I went to the store keep your head down and don’t say a word to anyone Then you find a second torso after the man convicted kills himself so it makes me wonder who was really out there once again you’re leaving a stunt you’re not giving us easy ones to guess on and I like that I have another story I’d like to present to you I just need to get more information on it for you as well it’s a mystery I hope you have a wonderful week and weekend and I look forward to listening to you on Monday take care as always ♥️👏🏽🙏🏽
