I've only got as far as the first story, but everyone sucks in that situation. Yes he is the a******, because anyone who was truly believed would be the bigger person and be there for her. Because that would make her feel even worse as a person. Knowing that even after everything she's done he's still there for her. Cancer is genetic it has nothing to do with Karma. As for story 2 I think that if the mother would have called an ambulance and actually paid for it instead of being cheap. The father wouldn't have died so I don't see how that's the daughter's fault.

So let me get this straight about Story 1. Ava invited the whole family over to have their support for her cancer diagnosis-and the adoptive siblings still had to bring their own food? She _still_ spitefully did not provide anything for them? There was absolutely no change in behavior on her behalf. How dare she _demand_ support from people with whom she _still_ abuses. Cancer happens to people good or bad for many reasons. ESH. Ava for being a bully from day 1 when OP became part of the family especially for outing him in the school paper. The parents for never squashing this bully or trying to resolve the underlying issues. OP for thinking this is karma and leaving his other siblings stuck at her house without a ride. He definitely needs to apologize for that. Now OP not having any sympathy for her getting cancer and not wanting to support her during her health crisis? NTA. Family or not it's hard to support a person who has bullied you for nearly 20yrs like Ava has OP. Your family and especially Ava expecting OP to just forget and forgive is total crap. They shouldn't be mad at op for saying bad things to a bad person when bothered, but commenters are right that that's not the mindset to have. Story 2: op needs to stay with his grandparents, he is a cripple and needs his cane. Denying him his primary means of mobility is cruel if not abusive. As for his mother, stepfather, and half siblings they have all committed verbal, mental, and emotional abuse. He has grounds to get their parental rights revoked and help his grandparents gain guardianship. Pursue legal counseling and therapy so you can stay away from those toxic people.

With the third story is simple either tell her to put the money back and tell your sister-in-law to stay out of our finances or be prepared to serve her with divorce papers plain and simple. In addition I wouldn't be surprised if your wife brought up any type of financial mental or emotional or potentially physical abuse accusations against you because she knows her sister have done some crazy and irresponsible things with her money but let's be honest here she knows is not going to end well. My advice to you you need to take all the money that you put into joint account and at least 60% of the money that she put in and move it to another account where you have sole control over it that way you can make sure you guys stay afloat and more with the bills and stuff. Because honestly I think your wife needs to learn the hard way what the choices of her actions will do to her and potentially her family

Sweetheart, listen up. Your dad died because of an accident. You were 5!!!! My youngest son is 6. If I die in a crash or whatever reason, it will never be his fault. Your abusive mother & stepfather have emotionally and mentally abused you, have neglected you and bullied you into believing that an accident was your fault. Kids get hurt. They do stupid things because they don’t know any better. Kids learn by either doing or observing something crazy and the consequences of those choices. If you fell down the stairs on accident, it would NOT be your fault. Pretending & playing is part of childhood. You would have NEVER wanted your dad to die. Your mother has taken her “guilt” for not having an ambulance come get you & forcing your dad to get you the help you needed & has placed it all on the head of a 5 year old. If someone tried to do that to my baby boy, this momma would go absolutely apeshit!!! That is not only disgusting behavior of an adult to act towards you (a child) for something NO ONE could have foreseen. CPS would have /should have removed you from this toxic idiot long ago and gotten you therapy to heal your soul. Survivors guilt is a real thing, but it is not based on truth. Do you hear me? It’s based on FEELINGS!!!! Feelings are not truth. Soldiers who have lost their brothers and sisters in arms have thought the same thing you do. But it’s not their fault. Just like it’s not your fault, it’s not 5 year old you’s fault either. Horrible things happen all the time. For no rhyme or reason at all. You are not God. You are not Satan. You did not chose this. You are ABSOLUTELY NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DADDY’S death or the accident!!! Listen, I know you think that your mom is right because she has blamed you & brainwashed you (from the age of 5!!! That’s 12 years of constantly lying to someone that they are responsible for someone else’s death. That’s completely bullshit!!!!). Your mother is a horrible person to treat you that way. She is completely EVIL!!!! You don’t blame your siblings for how they are - & they are older than you were!!! You were a baby!!!! 5 years old is a baby, hardly older than a toddler!!! It is time to forgive yourself for something that was in no way your fault. Bad things happen. Good things happen. To both good & bad people. You are not bad people. But your mother has allowed her hurt, grief, & misplaced guilt to convince you that it’s your fault that the accident happened. Stay with your grandparents. Block your mom and stepfather and their abuse from your phone, etc. your mom & stepfather have been gaslighting you. This is damaging to you. You were the innocent in all of this. & tell your mom (from me) that’s she’s a horrible abusive narcissistic person who is not worth your time or energy. Go no contact ESPECIALLY while you get help from a therapist/psychologist who can help you unpack all the damage done to your life and mental health by that horrible woman. I’m so sorry hun. Please let your grandparents help you. You are not forcing her side of the family to have issues with your mom. She did that all on her own. She didn’t let them know how she/they treated you BECAUSE SHE KNEW SHE WAS IN THE WRONG AND IT WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR AND THAT SHE WOULD FACE THE CONSEQUENCES OF HER HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR!!!! I know you think that everyone else is wrong. But consider that we have not been gaslit into thinking that bad things happen because of us. Let yourself think about that. Really, really think on that. It was NEVER YOUR FAULT. You have been lied to all your life. By someone you should have been able to trust to tell you the truth. Except they didn’t tell you the truth and had/have ill intentions for and towards you. You can think & say it’s your fault. But it doesn’t change the fact that it’s not your fault and that it has NEVER BEEN YOUR FAULT. Not even a little bit. Your mom has always told you wrong. She lied to you for 12 years. She is untrustworthy. In every way. Please get the help you need to lay this all to rest.

Now, you can finally go NC with her and she can lose the last of her old family. Also, document everything so that she can't for you to go back. Third story, his wife should've taken it out of her separate account. This is why he should just go with his idea. This way, his wife is forced to see what this MLM is. Fourth story, she only wants him back because it doesn't look good on her. She had years to apologize. Now, she expects her brother back? For what? So that she can pin something else on him? She needs to leave him alone and realize what she did to deserve it.

Story 1: NTA. Harsh, but then again, Ava's always been an MASSIVE AH to OP, and has effectively burnt any chances of genuine support from OP with her behavior, so OP doesn't owe her anything. OP gets, oh...maybe 0.1/10 on the AH scale at max (yeah, it was harsh, but Ava's terrible), Ava gets 9/10 on the AH (for being a horrible older sister), and parents get 7/10 on the AH scale (for enabling Ava's behavior). Story 2: N. T. A. OP, I've gotta say it, your Mom and Stepdad are just plain terrible, and they're being outright abusive. Good on you for getting out of there. OP gets 0/10 on the AH scale (seriously, it's not your fault for your dad dying. It's your mom's fault.), OP's mom gets 11/10 on the AH scale (yes, 11/10. Seriously. She caused her husband's death because she wouldn't pay for an Ambulance for her daughter, and now treats that same daughter horribly. Why isn't she in Jail?), and OP's Stepdad gets 10/10 on the AH scale for being a disgusting enabler of his wife. Story 3: NTA, obviously. OP has a right to protect his financial assets from a financially irresponsible partner. OP gets 0/10 on the AH scale, and Wife gets 6/10 on the AH scale (for being a financial blockhead and refusing to own up to it). Story 4: NTA. If the sister wants to prove that she's REALLY sorry for what she did, she needs to tell EVERYONE that she lied and then explain how she lied. Otherwise, any further apologies will get laughed out just like the first one. OP gets 0/10 on the AH scale (I'd laugh at her too, after all that she did, let's be honest), the Sister gets 8/10 on the AH scale (for being a lying AH who is likely doing this for herself, not for OP), and OP's parents get 5/10 on the AH scale (for blindly taking the sister's side).
