This is gonna be a long one. My wife and I were married for 21 years. I figured it was one of those miracle marriages because we barely argued, seemed I always be the best of friends, etc. Well, our 15 year old daughter received a 23 and me thing for her birthday from a friend. And of course, it said we weren’t related (she had me do a swab as well as her mother and her 14 year old brother). Only her brother and I seemed to be related. So I did a paternity test afterwards and low and behold, she wasn’t my f--king child. My ex-wife cried and pleaded for me to hear her out but I just went numb to her.
It would be one thing to cheat, but to find out the light of my life isn’t even to related to me killed me. Don’t get me wrong, I love my daughter with all of my heart. She’s still MY daughter no matter what.
Story 1:
Update: Beloved wife cheated on me and my daughter isn’t mine
Story 2:
I didn't get cheated on but he cheated on his wife with me... WHY AM I SO STUPIDDDDD

This is just my opinion as it is a bit late to the party, but you’d really just be assuming that your partner would willingly cheat and lie, however I don’t disagree that if it was a mandatory idea it would nip that problem in the bud. That’s just my two cents though.

Don't pity you're wife. She made this bed. Her decisions and lying put her in this place. Cheating is awful enough but making the conscious decision to lie about it for years, especially if a pregnancy occurs during the cheating and isn't admitted to...nah..leave that trash to their own vices and never look back. There's no excuse for it.

Man, I wouldn’t mind raising a child that isn’t mine, as long as her mother isn’t involved. I really think that most men feel that way, the problem is not raising and supporting a child that is not yours, you cannot blame the child for being born, *the real problem is supporting the witch who did this to you.*

It's one thing raising a child you know isn't yours, provided you are aware from the start and willing to do it. That's your choice. The problem is when the guy is not given the choice and basically deceived into raising someone else's kid, believing it is his own.
@davidjones8942

@@flaviusconstantius9702 this is the crux of the matter!!! Many men refuse to marry a single mother for that reason, but I believe they are a small minority. Many more will not marry a single mother for other reasons (he will never be priority, she probably married him for security instead of love, etc) but most men have no problem raising another man's child as long as they get to make the choice (they know up front). To find out later the child you thought was yours is not, is the worst type of betrayal.

No matter how much u trust ur gf/wife and think that she is loyal, talk about paternity test before hand and mandatorily conduct it at the time of birth. No man should go through emotional distraught and financial fraud. If father can be arrested for not paying child support similarly a mother should be charged for paternity fraud. DNA testing lately is revealing alot of cheaters.

OK to be clear on a couple of things: 1. She's not remorseful about what she did. She's sorry she got caught. 2. She's NOT suicidal, she's manipulative. She knows she's the "bad guy" and will threaten suicide (will probably fake a drug overdose, the favorite method of caught cheaters) as a way to become the sympathetic victim.

1st story: She went suicidal? It's her problem. The kids hate her? It's her problem. Her family hate her? It's her problem. Of course the kids will dislike her, this is not a "Santa Claus doesn't exist" lie. It's a life changing life. Focus on your kids, get a family therapy. 2nd story: at least you realize your mistake before having kids with this guy. Seriously tell his wife.
@BIGEAGLEDUDE
@BIGEAGLEDUDE 3 жыл бұрын
With the first story clearly she's going to attempt suicide to get you back in the make the kids not hate her when in reality it's only going to make them hate her even more. She's only thinking about yourself and Her Image not her children and her husband. My advice to you continues to go to therapy with your daughter because she's going to have trust issues from this for the rest of her life especially when it comes to her mother. Also be prepared for her family to try to pressure you to get you back into her life. She's a master manipulator because she's not sorry that she cheated and destroyed her family she's sorry that she got caught and exposed. Be there for your daughter but also get your son into counseling as well because he's mostly going to be hurt by this as well. And lastly serve her the papers now so she can know you're serious and you're done with the BS.

Yeah she is going to end herself. Losing husband she could handle but losing kids she won't and the fact the lost them for her own selfish act and lies. It's tricky. It's manipulative move to threat (and most of times it won't happen) but then again, if she goes thru with it, how do you think kids, especially daughter feel after that?

@@duckeh1952 I'm thinking one or two reasons her daughter will be hurt but in her daughter's mind her mom is basically escaping the consequences of her actions and to that will be some part of her that blames herself for her mother's death but in reality she knows it wasn't her fault..... in addition I do get the sense that it would be best for him to go for full custody of the kids and be prepared to bring the wife's mental health into question especially since she deceived him as well

The kids aren't as the armchair psychologists say, 'picking up on his anger'. Well, they MIGHT be. But really....those kids were betrayed too!! The kids deserve to be angry too! These are not mindless blank slates and suddenly become self aware at the age of 30. These are small people, becoming adults everyday. They need to FEEL their anger. They need to grieve too. Don't force kids to be more grown up than you can't even act on yourself. The kids had been lied to all those years. She robbed you of the decision to stay with a cheater that wanted you to raise her affair baby.

@CunoWiederhold
@CunoWiederhold 3 жыл бұрын
So many issues at play here. I myself have married twice and both to single moms, so I knew going into it that I'd be raising other men's children. But this is something on a whole other level. Yes, you can love the child but you were deceived into believing that she was your flesh and blood from the beginning so you never had a choice to pass or play. Add to that she cheated, got pregnant but knew that the baby wasn't yours, so she was going to take that info to the grave with her. WTF? It takes around $250,000 to raise a child today so not only did she cheat, deceive you, broke your trust, hurt you in the deepest and worst way, she cost you a lot of money too! Again, this has no reflection on your daughter but only on the character of your wife. I'm just curious if she ever tried to reach out to the AP to let him know he has a daughter during your marriage? I'll bet she has, then it also raises the question if she did, did she sleep with him as well? She had unprotected sex with this guy presumably a random stranger during her fertile time, bore his child then laid that responsibility on you! Women get pregnant, I get it, but to get married then misrepresent a pregnancy? Unbelievable! Women just "blow-it-off" like it's no big deal and that life just goes on! Do you know why? Because they suffer no consequences for the affair. If it wasn't a-r3pe, then it was totally consensual and she knew having unprotected sex when she was fertile would lead to this! It was NO accident either! And I'll bet it wasn't the only time she did this! There's more to this affair that she's not telling you. Who was the guy and how did HE play into your lives? She probably got dumped by him but would've left you otherwise. You were her plan-B!

I never thought anything like this could ever happen to me. Both of my parents deceased many, many years ago. Recently I purchased a DNA kit. I thought that it would be interesting to do a family tree on both my mother and my dads side. I received the results yesterday. As I sit here I am numb. I'm destroyed. Nothing is real anymore. As I was scrolling down there was not one person that I thought that was my relative that was on my list of potential relatives. Not one! This has shaken me to the very core and Foundation of my soul. I no longer Know Who I Am anymore. Several years ago (1981 to be exact) my father was in a drunken stupor and began to talk. He told me the story about how that he and the person I thought was my mother had wanted children so desperately but she could not have any. Anyway, a female was found who was very, very pregnant at the time. It was agreed that my mother and dad would pay the hospital bill and she would go to the hospital and pose as my mother. I suppose back in the 50s you could do something like that. Now I'm pretty sure that they are much more strict. Anyway, I was born and her way was paid back up to somewhere in the northeastern part of the country where she was from. Anyway, long story short none of my family believed him. Whenever you lie so many times people begin to disbelieve you and whenever you do finally tell the truth people think you are crying wolf. I never really paid any attention to it until yesterday. If only parents knew how badly they can screw people up and mess people's lives up by doing the things that they do, I have to believe that they wouldn't do them. At this point I'm in shambles. To this day I remember the name that he gave me that was supposedly my biological mother's name. According to my DNA results, the closest person has the same initials that he gave me. I don't know if I should try to contact this person, or not. Its like nothing is real anymore. If anybody has any suggestions out in the world wide web I'm certainly open to them. I bid everybody God Bless and good day.

Fellers take care of your selves. W may say with their words that they will be there at our lowest points but it's all just crocodile statements. I know quite a few individuals who have lost their eyesights, hearing, or limbs, and so on. Unsurprizingly, when it's a W, their hubs are sticking around them taking care of them financially and physically, even their showers and bathroom businesses, but on the flip side when it's the M, their wivs abandoned them 9 out of 10, not only abandoned them, but took all the belongings and everything that's of any value from their house, some of them moved in with other M as soon as their hub was rendered useless and so on. So we M may try and be responsible for our partners when they are at their lowest, but never expect W to do the same for us. Don't trust them, as M, all we can trust is ourselves. So take care of your health and always drive safe.

First story... yes... file for divorce. 1. You can always reconcile during the separation period. 2. You need to establish legal custody. Men rarely get it -- especially with your younger son who isn't a teen. Get this while she is suicidal and you can petition the courts over this. In a year or two when she is 'better' you are almost assured to loose custody. 3. You can't afford to get raked over the coals. You need the house, savings, etc. for the kids. You can't afford to be buying out your half of the house to her, giving her alimony, etc. Nor can you assume you'll get child support out of her as she may not be working. Likewise, expect costs for the kids to rise, you may need to work less hours, expenses to go up (say therapy, etc.) 4. You don't want a suicidal person around your kids. Or someone who tried to take them. Alcohol or drug issues, etc. 5. You may need to legal custody for all sorts of things -- medical issues, travel outside the country, etc. 6. You'll need her out of your will, children's college funds, money from your parents you might get/inherit, etc. 7. Your wife can clearly use "suicide" to avoid divorce papers and retain custody, visitation, etc. for years. She has no incentive not to be suicidal. She may use custody of the little one as a threat over staying together. 8. You may put your kids in fear that she'll end up with custody -- either because you aren't filling or wait until she's sorted herself out so she gets custody. etc. Seriously, its better for the kids to file ASAP. It is causes her to make more suicide attempts... that isn't something you can control, but you can't let that prevent you from protecting your children and remaining in limbo for years while she 'games' the system. She is out of other options.

i just need someone to vent too. Some days i just feel like dying, somedays i just feel like a burden too everyone around me. like nobody even cares for me. sometimes it feels like i have too force the "i love you" out of my mom, i know exactly what shes feeling because ive done it too my brother and my dad. I tell her i love her and she just pauses and stays silent. ive been depressed since i was 5,one time i even smashed my head into a wall till i bled out. Another when i was 4 i stood on top of glass and kept jumping so i could feel the pain. my family would be better off if i died.

There's a time I wasn't loved So, I learned to live without the need to be loved. It's easier than you think... You don't have to hurt yourself Or hurt those who you wished would love you back. Just find something to love and give it all the love you have. Give time, nurture it till it blooms. For me, it was art I've loved her and given my being to her. She's fed me, clothed me and is building my future. Go find something to love build your life around it.... You don't need anybody

STBXWs have a choice of one of a couple of paths. First is the DV path to destroy the the spouse. For taking action and exposing the cheater. Second is the emotional and pity route. Tears, begging, promising, getting family to encourage reconciliation, and other attempts to pull heart strings. Third and last, Self harm or you know what. It could be for the reason of ruining true love and hurting the spouse. It also could be to mentally harm spouse and not worrying about kids. Try and make them think it was all the spouses fault and they will live there life regretting what they did to to the cheater

2:50 I gotta somewhat disagree. Kids do in fact care about biology if the biological father is still in the picture. Little kids especially will probably not be the nicest to step dad or even step mom. Most kids want and truly believe that their biological mom and dad will get back together and their family will be whole again, and the only person stopping that from happening is step parents. I'm guess the guy who wrote this had step daughters with a dead beat dad who isn't apart of their life that much or who just completely walked out on them before they could remember. That really helps the step parents chances of the kids fully accepting them and seeing them as dad or mom. Plus it sounds like the guy already has experience with kids and marriage which makes taking in step children pretty easy since you already know that fatherly love and instinct feels like, not all men have that blessing. But yeah I 100% feel for OP and his daughter, they must be going through a lot emotionally.

I love it when cheaters say the affair meant nothing. Because that means exactly how much the person they cheated on meant and means to them. Nothing. Same with it was only physical. They say that like it's supposed to make things better when all it does is make it worse.

I think this story is probably fake, right from the opening. (1) Those kits are expensive. Far more money than an average 15-year-old would spend on a gift to a friend. (2) The only 23-and-me kits I've seen are designed for a single person, not a family. Each person would have to have their own kit. (3) 23-and-me kits operate on saliva collection, not swabs.

The second story well of course a woman blames the man for all her choices women do not have any accountability for their actions they always blame shift and say it’s other people in society that’s letting him do it I cannot have a daughter and now my marriage I’m scared to death of it every day after seeing all these women and how they truly are who can trust anymore

God that first story hits home. My uncle basically changed himself for the better when he got married by controlling his drinking habits and stopped smoking after finding out he was going to be a second dad. Second arrived and years later everyone in the family found out his wife had an affair and that his second kid isnt his. Definitely hurt him because he got back to smoking but he seems to trying to kick it again. I usually see his ex go to the store I work in with the guy she cheated with and a lot of kids(either hers or his as its been like 3-4 years i think) and can definitely say that he life is likely worse now

Do you notice how all of these stories are of women cheating? I saw a statistic that says men cheat more than women and I think it's bullshit. This is anecdotal of course, but I only hear about women cheating. Anytime I hear about a man cheating it turns out that his partner was cheating on him first anyway. I'm sure that some men do cheat. However, I hear about women doing it all the fucking time. This is why I'm kind of afraid to enter a relationship.

At this point, I've read and heard countless stories where women have cheated on men. I've heard 3 stories where men cheated on women and 2/3 claim that their partner cheated first. It seems like women cheat far more than men.

Ever heard of the saying "W are fcking with the top 20% of M"? Most likely 80% of M are either faithful or just not 5exually active at all. Women, married or unmarried, in an LTR or not, throw themselves at the top 20% men and cheating on their hubs and BFs cuz they can and it's way easier for them.

Actually no. So adoption is completely invalid to you? Yikes. The guy can decide what ever the fuck he wants and if he raised then as a complete father, they are his kids. Also are you dense? He literally says he was related to the brother. Meaning it probably was his kid regardless. Meaning it is his kid through your shit logic. You can go ahead and believe that, but that makes you a shit father and please never have kids
