Unlicenced Boxing is far more safer than "licenced" Boxing, No weight cuts, no boxers going through the ropes dehydrated. And the respect the fighters give to eachother is magic.

this is always a treat i will never forget the first time i seen a lenny mclean fight it was on a vhs tape i was working on a building site and this hard bastard let me borrow a boxing tape of roy jones jr then at the end i left the tape on and it showed this big man huge getting head butted and then going mad and giving this bloke a taste of his own medicine from that momment on i was hooked went back to work i could not of give two fucks for the roy jones jr fights all i wanted to know about was lenny mclean and then i got the book then roy shaws charlie bronson all of the crime books but lenny mclean has always been the guvnor number one for me i cant wait for the doc the guvnor and the film my name is lenny hope the film is good i heard micheal bisping is in it the ufc middleweight champion so it shows how much people still luv lenny bisping is fighting next weekend but he still made time for the film

Most fights on the cobbles last a lot longer that two minutes. It was only Lenny's fights that were over so quickly.

The best book I have read about hard men, was the one by Val McLean, Lenny's wife. Some very funny moments in that!

My dad done this about 30od fights and pro they could not get a punch in hardly complete useless. Just pure front take the gloves away and keep the head ache, s AWAY .

Conway ex-p company, interesting cos I was trained by one myself at boxing. But he was what's called an army PT (with the white, red trim vests) so makes sense actually, natural thing to go into on retiring for someone like that.
