"Oh my God, it's so awesome!" They throw a lot of jewels casually into the track, here and there. One or two seconds of an incredibly fantastic something, and they move ahead, to scatter more gems. But each one of those two-second pieces is worth a million dollars...

I have absolutely no idea how Miku adds lyrics to these songs. How? I would have no idea where to start!

Sayonakidori has Band-Maid's dirtiest riff they've put down and its on the "sweetest" song on the album. This song encompasses everything about "the gap" that Band-Maid is founded on.

At 10:21 you comment that Misa and Akane are together for that short, fast fill. It's intense to contemplate the discipline and dedication to compose that short section knowing that this whole song is composed across every bass and guitar note, drum strike, plus the vocals. Given this band has six voices and plays complex stuff, you have to get those voices together otherwise it's chaos. They nail this in concert because the composition is locked down, no matter how complex, and they rehearse until it's dead nuts. And they are more than talented enough to do it. Think of doing that for over an hour across their set.

Knowing the way they work, Kanami first, Misa second and Akane last, we understand why they are so complementary. Each one adds its own elements according to what the previous one has brought. On a score all this makes sense if you know music theory. But when we listen to the music, we can only be impressed by so much unity with yet a considerable amount of notes composed by these three incredible musicians.

You could write a book about how perfectly this album combines rock and metal. But you can also sum it up in one sentence: This album is the next step in evolution!

I've always loved the moment when you discovered the true dimension of Sayonakidori's ending solo. Fantastic idea to bring it to YT. Thanks Ryan, nice to be back at UW for a while. What an LP!

It pains me almost physically that Band-Maid are not more widely known everywhere... the world of rock/metal is missing out on the incomparable genius of Kanami Tono and company! JFC did you listen to that incredibly complex, crazy, yet really satisfying stuff?, i still can't believe how good Kanami, Akane, MISA and Miku are... and Saiki ofc, but this is about instrumental songs lol

Yeah, she's building up to the high note over that insane tapping by Kanami. If you listen with the vocals it really compliments what Miku is singing in that section.... and the outro after that by Kanami just gives me massive chills.

What's amazing about Unseen World is you can listen to it multiple times in multiple versions AND every track is phenomenal. Sayonakidori reminds me a bit of Tokyo Jihen in some ways because of its eclectic nature and ever changing tempo, plus Miku's adoration to Shiina Ringo gives birth to her emotional charged vocals, then add in Mincho's progressive classical composition and you get Sayonakidori.

It is amazing how well their songs work as instrumentals. Sayonkidori was originally lower mid pack for me but when I heard the instrumental and Kanami's full outro solo it totally changed the song for me. No song probably has risen faster than this one for me.

So what I heard in ISSR solo section is that both Akane and MISA end up playing same note patterns as Kanami in different parts of Kanami's solo. Not necessarily the same notes but the same pattern if that makes sense... and that MISA and Akane trade off playing the main driving rhythm during the solo. That ringing sound you're hearing is Miku's guitar I think. What's amazing about this song is MISA and Kanami trade off playing the lead sections... or at least that's what I hear.

I haven't seen the score, but I think the section of Sayonakidori where the time changes pre chorus is probably a normal 4/4, but the way the beat is taken 3-3-2×4, 3×6, 4×4, and the second time is 3-3-2×4, 3×9, 4×1.( The intro instrumental section is the same 3-3-2 x 4) Perhaps the place of 3/4 may be written as 3/4 as it is. BTW, " Yuragu " also uses 3-3-2.

Kanami's playing is lead solo after lead solo interpreted within the structure of the songs, I've never heard of such a guitarist before, nuno bettencourt maybe but certainly not on her scale. Does that make sense?

Thanks Ryan, always appreciate your musical interpretations and discussions. When it comes to Band Maid we're all aware of how adorable and goofy they can be and of course the obvious on how stunning these Rock Goddesses are but these tracks underscore that this is a farking beast of a rock and roll band, they are no holds barred, down and dirty musical cage fighting champs. Miku wanted the gap between maid kawaii and in you face rock and roll, wow talk about over succeed. Didn't think it was possible but this has blown me away even more, Man I'm so jealous of you yanks in October 😄 Hey Indianna internet seems very similar to North Queensland Australia internet 😂 Viva the Maids, peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎸🎤🍻

HGK is just all sorts of WTF is going on here?!?! LOL. Everyone is just playing everything, everywhere, all at once at some points... but MISA playing lead in the first verses is just nuts. MISA's playing on this song reminds me so much of Kiyoshi's playing as well. When Kanami is doing those tight little slides listen to what MISA is doing behind them... its crazy.

This version of SAYONAKIDORI works perfectly as a straight instrumental and has a lot in common with FROM NOW ON, both in terms of the arrangements and the production techniques. Without the vocals, I could hear EDM elements and many little guitar flourishes. This track is a perfect complement to the acoustic version, where a stripped down arrangement is all that’s needed to support KOBATO’s captivating vocals. It’s like SAYONAKIDORI is two pieces in one song. BTW, you can hear KANAMI’s ending solo repeatedly perfectly in this live performance-kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oZdzd6ypstvXYKs.html

I really want them to put out a totally instrumental album or at least release a double album that includes the instrumentals of all the songs with vocals. Their instrumentals are excellent. Band Maid's rock songs are actually more complicated that traditional rock songs ought to be. Everything else sounds kind of simple to me. Misa is a total beast on this.

I've been telling you from the release of UW that Sayonakidori is probably the best song on this album. Top 3 for sure. 🕊❤🕊❤🕊❤ Think about how incredible that is on an album that contains H-G-K, Giovanni, Why Why Why, Honkai, and Black Hole that this song is this good.
