And if you want to make sure it doesn't pull away from wall while glue cures, tape on the floor, hot glue some blocks onto the tape then use kickers to hold base against wall. Works wonders

I really try to nail everything, but sometimes in some spots like if the nails would suck the board into a crooked wall and it looks better just set there, I use a glue like that and adjust in or out where I want it and walk away. Also for tiny pieces that may split. But, I often go back on jobs years later to do update work and the glued down boards rip up the wall something awful. So I would only do it when it’s necessary. Just fill the holes and touch them up is best

Only if you have 100% perfect flat and straight 90 deg wall every where and you can keep it tight against the wall. Having pre finished board is not to use glue. It’s still recommended by all manufacturers to use your trim nailed and also a glue product if needed. The pre finished is to help speed things up not to skip a step. And you will never have a 100% perfect walls you will have to use nails to keep it pulled tight

It’s used like silicone adhesive, 2” dollops or pads work better than a thin continuous bead. You use it to install DuPont Corian based wall and shower panels the same way. 2” circular pads spaced ever 10-12 inches.

@@miahzzeebest701 If you find yourself needing a way to put it on, then you must have taken it off, and therefore should be able to understand that there might be reasons to take it off again. Most WTF things you find when renovating are there because the last guy assumed he would be the last person to ever work on it. Often enough the last person and the current person are the same person. After a few trips down that road you start thinking about these things. Or, at least, I do.

Point is not if it will hold or not, the points you need it pushed into the wall to not have much gaps. Unless you have perfect 90 walls than you need to push it, 18 guage nail does that

I'll tell you this: I used it on a mosaic tile on painted walls. I needed a tool like a small prybar to get the mosaic tile piece off. That's how strong the Loctite it is. But on a baseboard I'll use small screws because you never know when you're gonna need to remove those baseboards and put'em back on. Of course, you fill up the holes with either painters putty or spackling compound
