Today marks a milestone for us- THE INTERIOR OF OUR HOME IS FINISHED! We can't believe those words are leaving our mouths! It was important for us to finish absolutely every last project on the interior before calling it "quits" on the inside. We didn't want to end up 5 years down the road and still have "that trim" or "that paint" or "the crown molding in that room" unfinished. So now that the inside of the house is done, what's next for us? Finishing the foundation with stone, building the decks AND.... revealing our big secret.

We are a couple who are building our own home from the ground up in the mountains of West Virginia. After living near the city our entire lives we finally decided to sell it all, pack up our 3 kids and live in an RV on our 73 acres while building our own debt free, off-grid house and learning to live a more self-reliant life.
Our house build is documented entirely on our main channel "Wild Wonderful Off-Grid" and our family life vlogs can be found on our secondary channel "Wild Wonderful After Show"

I grew up with an alcoholic ex-military father who beat me and whipped me where i had scabs on my legs and back and had to wear pants in summer so no one would see what hed done and I never knew what a normal family was supposed to look like... I love to watch how your family interacts with so much love and it just warms my heart... And to see those children thrive in such a loving warm environment just blows me away! It is refreshing to see “normal” families. But, know that you can break a cycle and have your own “normal” family as well. Consciously choose to be better every day. My kids don’t have it perfect.. but I know they’ve had a MUCH better life than I did growing up.

I raised a daughter as a single dad. I used to feel guilty, as well, for "going out to explore the creek" with my daughter. We did a lot of fun stuff and I treasure all those memories. But looking back, my only regret is that we did not do even more fun stuff together.

Now they just have to vent the cat cave to the outside. Maybe a motion detect switch on a timer to turn the fan on and off. Kitties often forget to turn them off when they're done.

I like the 'Cat Cave' - good job, Josh! ONE suggested improvement: A battery-powered, motion-activated light, attached with double-sided tape, on the underside of the cat box itself. Cat will be able to see where it wants to go....... Did this on our cat box. Cats appreciate it.

Congratulations on completing the inside of your home. It is gorgeous and so well built. Ya'll have worked so hard in all elements and had each other's back and work together so well. You guys are the best! Love the house and the cat cave is Purrrrrrrrfect for the litter box. Great job and I love the laughter you two share. Never change that. It's a beautiful thing! House looks grand and I think we all are wanting to get outside and do things. This world is restless and needs some normal and newness.........so outside building and so on is the ticket for sure. The only good things is thumbs downs are also interactions which also increases their ad revenue. Since KZfaq bases it on interactions and not likes. So every thumbs up thumbs down and comment is good for them which is why I comment on every single one of their videos and make sure to like them

What a wonderful family. This brings back so many memories. Watching them work togeather and the love between them makes me wish I was 50 years younger with my wife and little girls. Pretty sure they've said in a previous video that they arnt having anymore kids, also has nothing to do with "the border" which they mentioned, also that push their 2nd half of the house build back another year or two which I doubt they'd want to happen.

Word of advice place a piece of artificial turf in the bottom of the cat cave that way when the cat gets out of the litter what litter that is left on the cats paws will fall off into the turf and you can carry it outside once a month and shake it off.
