This video critique was requested by the creator. I don't offer unsolicited advice because I don't believe it is appropriate to force your opinions on someone you don't know, even if you have good intentions. Imagine walking up to a stranger on the street and saying "yellow's not your color."
I'm not going to focus much on anatomy and other aspects of drawing that simply require practice and time to learn. Saying "Draw better biceps" isn't super helpful. All artists are always and forever trying to draw better biceps.

OMG I totally missed the part about referring to Prince Cornelius by different titles (and so did my editor... and my two beta readers...). Thanks for catching that for me! And thanks for all the other advice as well, I’ve caught on a few which should be better in the later chapters, but I’m still figuring some in my head. Still not great at catching the 180 degree rule. Hope I’ll have enough time to revisit Chapter 1 and make corrections. THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN FOR THIS WALTER 😭😭😭❤️

Huge fan of your critiques, I really do feel like I learn a lot! It's so interesting to also see how artists portray different things and that their style/art direction extends to more than just the way they draw their characters. Things like word bubbles, panel proportions, camera angles and if they have a hand-drawn feel or cel-shaded feel... it's amazing to see all of it come together!

I love and hate these critic videos by the very same time XD. I love the general Idea critiquing Comics and I discover through this new Comics I want to read (in this case i subscribed instantly) I like to get better insight especially in Webtoon( other than printed comics) making. It encourages me but...(and here is the point I kinda hate ) discourages me by the same time. Why discourage? Because I look with every new critique on my own stuff with fresh eyes. Especially since Im still working on my debut... I knew my own " construction sides" ( Does the time flow works in Webtoon? Is that to much or to less pacing? why my colors sucks? Dialog...insert my very own insecureness.) These day my travel is a bit like stop and go. Work and rework. I need to find the balance between speed and being "perfect" from panel one. But this is NOT your fault but mine;)

Great review as always. I'm curious if you do rereviews. I'm one of the comics that you reviewed in your very first webtoon critique video (the one called Pembroke's Tale). Ever since that video you've established a better system of judging comics (like looking at the description and icon), and I was wondering if, I were to pay for it on Patreon, would you look thru my comic again, especially since now I have more episodes? I'd also like to know what your stance on going back and fixing old episodes is. Is it better to leave old episodes as is and move on? Or should you fix them, so you can easily grab new readers? My problem with changing things too much is that it might confuse old readers and make the comment section irrelevant. So I'm bit conflicted about this. Thanks for reading this essay of a comment.

Yeah, I could prolly do a re-review in the future. I'm only doing these extended reviews for patreon right now, but all the slots are full and most likely will take me 2 months to get through the backlog. My default answer to fixing old episodes is...No, just keep moving forward. Of course, it's not black and white though. If you feel like there is something that is really turning off new readers and you really want to change it, then definitely go back and do a remix, remaster, or redo. The problem with redo's is that it can be a trap. If you fix ep 1, now you want to fix ep 2, then ep 3, etc until you've redone all your episodes, then you look at episode 1 again and think it has to be redone all over again :-) It also depends on how many episodes you have. Easier to rework/redo if you've only done 3 episodes vs 100 episodes. reworking some weird panels or fixing clunky dialogue isn't as big of a deal. I'm talking more about completely redrawing being a bad idea.

no offense, your critiques are good, but the summery thing, the original one is more interesting and more inviting then the way u rewrote it: just a little critique from a fellow writer ^^" it might contain some information about character but it sounds like the usual shonen manga XD while focus on character is important, the world is important as well, for example there are books out there that have no character focus at all and they are so intriguing to the point of goosebumps xD the story would already have planty of characer focus, so having synopsis world focusing is a good thing. on other hand: its all depends on taste, some ppl might find the rewrite better and some might find the original synopsis better XD

That's the great thing about creative arts, there is no one answer to what is "good". Hopefully everyone realizes my critiques are more suggestions than prescriptions.

Yes. I had a bunch of creators sign up so I temporally turned off the reward, so I could catch up with what I already had and didn't make people wait extra long.
