Thanks for doing this. Now I know to never do this modification. Everyone has their own opinion but mine is that this is a lot of work and expense and headache to achieve something that to me looks no better than stock. Not saying it looks bad. It doesn't. But to me stock looks just as good.

What are the main advantages of removing the airbox? Are there any disadvantages?
@thesundayrides8 күн бұрын
There are a bunch of very good videos made by true professionals. those who know their shit from personal experience. I am not one of them. I can't answer your question unfortunately. I made it only because I like how the bike looks with the pod filters, but like i said in the video - I did feel that the bike runs better than it was. may be it is a self motivation, but who cares?! it did the trick for me. the disadvantages are: compromise on the water protection, can't fit the side bags, wiring is exposed.

Hi Max, I have a question about your tidy tail light in this video. I want to buy the tail light package from Bonvent. I like it has a cover to the frame but I don't like the way it mounts the brake light. There is a gap between the brake light and the cover. I think it makes the tail looks too long. When I saw your video, your tail light seems attached closely to the Bonvent cover. How did you do that? 😅 Would you share what brands you used on tail light, license plate holder, and the rear mudguard? Did you modify the Bonvent cover to fit it? Much appreciate ❤

I see you've written in the comments that the break cable that comes in the baak kit is not necessary to change from stock with these handle bars? This would be good to know as it would save some money please?
@thesundayrides8 күн бұрын
Hi there! Yes, it is not necessary. I still have the stock hose. The only issue is pure aesthetics - the stock hose is grey and the replacement hose is black. it takes some time and the skill to replace it. i didn't feel the power to do it, but it doesn't look as good as it could with a black hose.
@mattimattwa90647 күн бұрын
Thanks for getting back to me, it might be a different colour but for the price baak want for that I'll put up with the miss match 😅
@klutchkick90269 күн бұрын
Great video buddy, i think an all out alloy wheel setup would reduce the weight even more and can even improve the unsprung mass, but it does hinder the aesthetics a bit as compared to the stock spoke wheels. Im currently running a meteor(back) and hunter(front) alloy wheel setup and it has made the bike very light.
@thesundayrides8 күн бұрын
Thank you buddy, and it is a great recommendation! I agree with you, that will make it lighter, but I cant help it how much i love the spoke wheels!!!!!!
@mattimattwa90649 күн бұрын
Did you have to do anything with the headlight cable's or did they reach please?
@thesundayrides8 күн бұрын
Yes, i did but only because I wanted to clean up the wiring in the front. as soon as you remove the headlight you discover that a huge bunch of cables is hidden there. I had to extend all the wires to be able to hide them under that tank. if you are okay with some connectors visible you can buy a front pannel from BAAK and then all cables reach

@thesundayrides8 күн бұрын
Hi Andreas! No i didn't. I took a camera from a friend to give it a try and as much as it is great, it is time consuming to edit the footage. It enables you with some unique angles. my favorite is double header : when you mount it on the handlebars and then add the front view of the road and the rear view of yourself in one vertical video. looks amazing.

It was gratifying to see the presenter use the correct pattern for his ace bars. The stubs should be welded around the midpoint of the yoke, offering a 360 degree weld. Much weaker aces show the weld at the end of the yoke. Incorrect.

Hey Zach! I recommend you get the bars first, get them mounted and measure the length with a rope. It is individual. I end up using Baak's long cables which are too long. :)

I think this will be a winter project for me. I only have my Interceptor and I can't afford to miss bike night or weekend rides! Kinda sucks that BAAK doesn't warn how much work this can potentially be. I wonder if there's any way at all you can do this without rewiring. Either way, huge kudos for doing this, it looks great and the work was worth it!
@thesundayrides20 күн бұрын
Zach! Thanks for your kind words! I now have a second bike, and it is so liberating, I can start a new project without FOMO on rides! Yes, you can do it without rewiring, BAAK sells a front plate to hide the wiring, but I didn't like it, and didn't like the price of it. P.S. you can see it in my early videos.
