Really nice 478 build, i think an older gpu will fit better btw, like 6800 Ultra AGP or x850XT, or even from the previous gen like 5950 Ultra/9800Pro will result in a more period correct build

Fantastic videos! I noticed you didn't use a protectant at the end like you did on some of the others. Is there a difference?
@SkillsandTrade
@SkillsandTrade 21 күн бұрын
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy my videos. Using a protectant definitely does help, the polish I use does have a little in it, but applying some specifically does help a lot. This was just an early video, were I didn't, but I make sure I do now for any new video

A BEAUTIFUL END RESULT, I WANT MY NEW CROCK POT TO LOOK THIS GOOD BUT I CANT FIND ONE, THEY ALL HAVE FLAT OR MATT FINISHES WHICH I DONT LIKE AT ALL. NOW I WILL LOOK UP THAT MACHINERY YOU HAVE THERE.
@zennabella1676
@zennabella1676 Ай бұрын
THANKS BUT I THINK ID HAVE TO LOOK UP THAT MACHINERY PRICE FIRST. I JUST WANT NEW SAUCEPANS AND A CROCK POT TO LOOK LIKE THEY HAVE A MIRROR SHINE. 3 OF MY OLD SAUCEPANS DO ALREADY HAVE A MIRROR SHINE BUT I WANT TO BUY A CROCK POT THAT HAS A MIRROR SHINE AND NONE OF THEM DO. WHAT ON EARTH IS GOING ON WITH ALL THE LATEST COOKWARE TODAY SUCH AS SAUCEPANS, FRYPANS AND SLOW COOKERS? WHY DO THEY ALL HAVE A FLAT LOOK ABOUT THEM? I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND THIS. PERHAPS IF I WAS TO SPEND OVER 200 DOLLARS ON A SLOW COOKER I MIGHT BE VERY LUCKY TO FIND ONE WITH A HIGH SHINE MIRROR FINISH. YEARS AGO ALL SAUCEPANS HAD A MIRROR FINISH. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW THINGS ARE NOW. MAYBE ITS TO DO WITH SOME STUPID FASHION THAT HAS MADE THE MAKERS OF COOKWARE TO GIVE THEM ALL A FLAT SURFACE APPEARANCE, TERRIBLE.

Use a DA (dual action) sander if you have air, $30 Walmart. electric orbital if no air. Step up grits with 6” psa sanding discs. This leaves no visible variations or patterns from a tool and your hand. Don’t do this in the sun, keep your work cool. Friction creates heat, heat expands metal, heat on one side distorts the reflected image

Thank you!! The wiring in my home was done in 1980, and not everything looked like it did in this video, but it did help me figure out the problem, so for that.. thank you. Followed a couple other guides to no avail. This worked 1st time!

I just can't get it. I tried with my drill and my orbital sander. I went through the same steps as you.... no luck. Is there a trick to this?
@timhealy2329

It's this simple. The neutrals don't connect to the switches. The two wires (of the14-3 wire) that are NOT the ground connect to the brass screws. The black screws on both switches are the continuation of the power coming from the panel to the light(s). I've watched dozens of videos dozens of times over three years. I am now wiring the second building on my property and finally get three-way switching. If you think you are a simpleton this is the video for you. Thank you. The light in my head is finally on, lol.

Bare wire is called "Grounding conductor" to earth. Neutral White is called "Ground Wire" or "Neutral". Hot wire is "Common", and the other remaining wires are called "Travellers" Long nose pliers are not recommended, use Flat pliers, known as Lineman pliers.

I thought that you needed to clean the sheet between each grit or you are just reusing the previous grit.
@SkillsandTrade
@SkillsandTrade 2 ай бұрын
That does help for sure. In my future videos, I use isopropyl alcohol to clean my metal in between each sanding step. If I ever make a version 3 I'll do that.

I think you are not going to have TRIM support in Windows XP is this correct? Have you tried filling SSD for 90% capacity and then deleting the files and testing the speeds again?
@SkillsandTrade
@SkillsandTrade 2 ай бұрын
I believe that is correct, Windows 7 does have TRIM support thankfully. I haven't tried filling an SSD to 90% and deleting to test speeds, but it is a very interesting idea and suggestion.
@JamesSmith-ix5jd

@@SkillsandTrade Yes it is interesting to test, mainly to see if modern SSDs have TRIM in firmware or not.

The power coming into the first box where the receptacle will be, does that power have to come directly from the breaker, or is it ok to have the power come from an existing receptacle in the circuit? Thanks.
