Very nice video but unfortunately it doesn't really help that much as the most important info is where the bolts are, how many & how to remove properly the details are the most important part so for me speeding it up isn't really that helpful 👍👍

Hello mate just another question for you 😂 In the 2003 c220 are the injectors solenoid or piezoelectric? I thought they were solenoid but a lad at work said they use piezo?

Hey!!,quick question for you...would really appreciate help if you could? There is a wiring harness that runs on top of that engine and a plug that comes off on the middle right side,the plug seems to sit around the front of the fuel filter housing and goes down to the left side front of the egr cooler,do you know what it goes to? Its just a little short wire and plug on the right of the wiring harness and only one in the middle on top of the fuel rail. Ive just done the waterpump and fuel filter housing on this and lost to where this plug goes unless it doesnt on some of these engines?

If its what i think it is, it plugs onto a sensor which is connected to a fuel line, the sensor is probably trapped under the egr cooler somewhere hence why you cant see it, msj me on my instagram with photos and il try to help

Remember to be very clean and before removing the turbo pipe or oil cooler to clean all the sand and debris. If you don’t sand or debris could find its way above the crankshaft bearing and seize the engine.. i have seen it happen when i worked for mercedes a few years ago.

Hi bro . Before i change the oil coller i have little oil in water radiator but no water in inside of the engine . After i changed the oil coller the probleme comes again and this one, the water enter inside the engine 😢 and i see soooo much oil mix with water radiator ..plz give me solution.? Point important > i changer only the pump coller oil without filter oil .

the engine is called Just M270, OM ist für Diesel engines. But otherwise great Video, i never took the intake manifold off but left it kind of hanging in there👍

Hi, May I ask I have C200 2012 W204 ( 145,000kms). Car drive sometimes rough on low speed. Test OBD2 came on P0340 fault. I have replaced Camshaft position sensor but still same CODE coming up and car same issue. Any suggestions my friend?

Took me 6 hours to complete on a C220 Amg 170, and i have an engine management light now on which ill have to inveastigate, the wiring is a pain in the neck and gets in the way making an easy job really tricky, access to several bolts is tricky without a decent socket kit. The video diagnosis is very good but its not a quick job.

No manufacturer can make anything decent anymore, its all gone to shit engines with design issues from day 0 manufacured to survice maybe 200.000 miles if you are lucky and wear out atleast 2 timing chains getting there. Take the OM611 and nearly identical OM646 for example. Those were dead simple durable engines. Double roller timing chain that will outlast the rest of the vehicle and no other significant mechanical issues. They last a long time and since I am thinking about buying a cheap used Van Ive already settled on a Mercedes Vito instead of a VW because they came with those exact engines in them and the older Mercedes Automatics are also very long lasting aswell so a W 639 Vito with the OM646 and Automatic Transmission would be a dream. When you look you see older Diesels with tons of miles on the engine like 200.000 300.000 and more. Do you think any of these new junk engines coming out will survive that? I have a near 20 year old Volvo V70 with the five cylinder D5244T Diesel. 95% of the parts under the hood are original and the engine has done 250.000km. Never needed anything changed. Runs like new. Virtually no wear. Only ever needed oil, filters, belts, pulleys/tensioners and a waterpump. Makes 160hp, plenty of torque and fuel efficiency is good. I will do an EGR + Intake cleanout this year in addition to my regular maintenance and probably fit an EGR blockoff plate since it helps them from sooting up the intake manifold and improves fuel mileage slightly. Before I aqqired the car service records indicated it had 0w30 at 30.000 kilometer intervals. So the absolute worst you can throw at an older Diesel engine. Volvo is delusional and stupid enough to have 0w30 at 30.000km as their factory interval on their cars. The engine vibrated a lot and the valvetrain was noisy as hell. I put in 5w40 diesel oil and change that every 12 months or 10.000km. The engine survived the previous abuse flawlessly and runs so smooth and quiet now on 5w40 its hard to believe. No manufacurer these days builds engines like that!

thanks for the video. But as i can see the egr cooler needs to be removed. But it got several bolts that needs to be unscrewed. There is a bolt underneath it, isnt it hard to take those out?

If you use a 1/4 drive E10 socket and extension it is not that bad to remove

No just put in enough coolant, get the engine hot enough for the thermostat to open then it will bleed it self and coolant level will need topping up..

Thank god for that! I was on 480 days overdue which 2 garages refused to do the work to remove it as part of my annual service!
